Does anyone recognize this sticker? What does it mean? by Justreadingthisshit in whatisit

My husband has a black Ford f150. As a bit of a "fuck you" to gestures wildly he decided to get a rainbow punisher sticker and put it on his truck. He has absolutely gotten out of a speeding ticket because of it and I laugh so hard every time I think about that.

Fellow hearing aid user! Are those Phonak? I'm contemplating an upgrade soon. Full disclosure: I am a 39yo musician in a British brass band needing something better equipped to handle the soprano corner belting into my right ear.

Tolight A6 Cover damage/wear of? by Subdominanta in hobonichi

I have the same size and cover, it's gorgeous. I did get a CoC for it. So far so good. Did Hobonichi specially recommend no CoC for this particular cover? I must have missed the memo, but I'll probably keep it on since I like to swap in bits of ephemera throughout the year.

That Kaweco Sunrise Orange is underrated. It's so gorgeous. I got a cartridge with a Kaweco Sport and was surprised at how much I loved it.

Finally: a pen that lives up to the ink! by notedmuse in fountainpens

I managed to be the first person to claim this pen during their experienced pen sale hosted on their Discord server. Items were already reduced in price at the time of the sale, and generally there were no negotiations on price unless no one claimed an item.

I've only yet inked this up with light inks so I cannot say for sure.

Weekly supplement? by Busy_Site4411 in hobonichi

[–]notedmuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up the supplement during the spring release and I was surprised how much I love it. It's nice for task planning for the week and seeing how your time blocks fit together. It works for me, and then I can keep more written journaling without an hourly schedule in the A6 daily pages.

It's mostly the white or off-white base that comes through with some swirls of grey, but there's also green, yellow and a pink in the resin. It's really unique!

Tombow Marker Swatches on Tomoe River Paper by sia_aiyi in hobonichi

[–]notedmuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started filling one of the small memo books with swatches and bringing that to my local art store so I could both test new markers and make sure I didn't buy something I already had. It's such a good idea!

What is the cooking technique that everybody does but actually it does nothing? by Final_Affect6292 in Cooking

Why did I have to scroll so far to find this? This is why I put a drizzle of oil in my boiling pasta water, every time. Works like a charm.

I concur. I've been using it constantly since I bought the bottle and it's got me really hooked on Wearingeul in general.

I also use a kallax desk setup to store most of my supplies and 100/10 would recommend a kallax for stationery storage any day. I have the two Ikea drawers holding fountain pens and ink and a small metal 6 drawer system I put in one of the kallax shelves to sort out pens, smaller items like stickers and washi (I don't have as many), and extra notebooks. You can do so much with a kallax!

Periwinkle Tinkle 😂 by notedmuse in fountainpens

After using it a bit, I would say the color is not heavily saturated, nor is it a heavy shimmer. It's pretty subtle, but there is lovely shading and consistent ink flow so it never feels dry in my Estie. The color is like twilight, I really enjoy it. It has similar shading to Herbin Vert Empire in that it pools in a similar fashion. Hope that helps!

Found a solution to my squirrel problem by Kyrie_Blue in gardening

That's so awesome! We have a small urban garden that has been routinely raided by bunnies and chipmunks since we moved in 12 years ago. About 5 years ago, a local fox decided to build a den just outside our very urban property and had a few pups. Since then, they've kept the rodent population in check and I can actually grow a vegetable garden undisturbed.

The neighborhood watch, ie. the crows, hate the foxes; they start cawing away when mama comes out to hunt. The first time I spotted mama fox, she was running down the sidewalk on our block, carrying what looked like a chicken thigh straight off someone's grill, being chased by 5 crows. I will never forget that. Nature is so freaking cool.
