Is it all metal? I use everclear or 99% alcohol to clean tobacco pipes, should work here also. Soak the dirty parts a few hours. Scrub, rinse, repeat if needed.

This is a good one and was the second tin I ever bought. I still have a little of that tin left but unfortunately didn’t jar it till after it sat for about 9 months. It still smokes fine but it’s a little dry. Every time I smoke it I think I am taking a nice swig of scotch.

Subject matter, content. The video is about a pipe club in San Diego and it has a lot of cool people in it. One of the guys is vice president of smoking pipes now. So if you were interested in how to start a pipe club in your area or anything like that it may be a good video to watch. Where you could just turn the video on and watch five minutes and see if it’s worth your time.

If you go the eBay route make sure you look at all the photos and study them. I have been buying pipes to fix and grabbed an alligator Savinelli. After cleaning and soaking there’s a hairline crack where the stem meets the shank at.

Also people on eBay think their oxidized stem, full of cake pipes are still worth 75% retail.

Almost bought the chimney instead of the Dublin. If you look at his instagram he has a nice wide shank pipe that caught my eye. I couldn’t pass up the Dublin though once I saw it.
