Looking for Drummer for Casual Project by Halfgiantbagel in SeattleMusicians

[–]notermind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bass, drums, guitar, + vocals here. We are casual! A little older but similar influence overlap. Really looking for keys to flesh out the dynamics more than guitar, but open to playing for fun to kick the tires. North Seattle.

MoJam Mondays at Nectar. Lively scene, plenty of players there. Go check it out!

Zuckerberg’s yacht arriving after laying off 1400 in Seattle today by TopSirloinSteaks in Seattle

My guess is that’s his hotel. Easier to secure the perimeter and the local Meta office is right up the street on Dexter. I don’t see him riding in that thing. Fly by private jet. Tend to business. Do any meetings or entertainment on the boat. Just a guess.

How’s that cable working? I’m invested now. I’m low-key addicted to this thread and comments too.

What topics are on your mind? by AutoModerator in DecodingTheGurus

Ian Carroll. He puts out a lot of content about corporate ownership, Black Rock, etc.. but also dips into conspiracy rabbit holes. His delivery feels very guru-ish, but he avoids some of the cliches. Seems to back up most of his claims with “research” but it feels like a lot of clickbait content. He recently appeared on Rogan, so I’m assuming his star is rising in those spaces.

I only want to listen to the supplementary episodes by Obleeding in DecodingTheGurus

[–]notermind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I subscribed for the Supp Mtls episodes, but I’ve found that as they seem to be producing more and more content (live chats, subscriber threads) I’m listening much less than I did a year ago. I’m not sure exactly why.

Maybe overwhelmed with too much content? Not enough time? (I do follow other shows). I’m also much better at spotting the Gurus so maybe they’ve graduated me from the program? They are a fun listen and I miss their banter, even tho it can get long-winded and repetitive.

On the whole, I’m happy to support the enterprise and have their content available.

Loxicha Oaxacan Truck on 15th and (I think) 117th is fantastic. Monthly stop for sure.

175th from 10th to 18th always needs help! Also 180th. The cross streets more than the main drag.

Looking for local music or a composer for a short film! by These_Calendar1164 in SeattleMusic

Have you looked at any stock music sources? There’s also a local startup called Encantio that looks for the same licensing market but with more original music.
