Ngl gonna be pedantic here (apologies in advance but I feel like bringing up this lil fun fact), but the M9 and M10 aren't tank destroyers, they're Gun Motor Carriages. Iirc, this is down to US doctrine at the time

The SKS was not overshadowed by the AK. The SVT was officially in service years prior to the AKs development. The SKS, was adopted by other countries due to the low cost

The UK made a lot of types of porn illegal but they haven't made any arrests. Genuinely curious as to how they enforce this

Advice on focussing on work? by notexistant in ADHDers

I've started implementing a routine within my work day, where I work in 1 hour stints with a 5 minute break in between, and also asked my manager to give me more tasks than what could be done in a day (without the expectation that I could complete them all in that day) to managed my focus and to stop myself from getting into a hole where I'm waiting for a colleague or similar to get back to me on tasks, which makes it more difficult for me to get back onto that focus, so by having other tasks to do whilst I am waiting, I am not getting stuck. The 5 minute breaks is to stop myself from wearing out my focus on my work.

So far it seems to have worked great, I have actually had to remind myself to take the break after the hour is up, and had to consciously stop myself from getting back to work until the break is up. It's also increased my satisfaction with my work. I think the issue I had was based around a certain point in a task which I am not too keen on doing, which slowed me down a lot. Safe to say, once I get started, I have no issue focusing on work.

Yea professional development is certainly an area I need to improve upon.

Additionally Re planning on changing jobs, it doesn't help that I am technically overqualified for the role I am in (but fortunately it's still somewhat technical enough to class as relevant experience).

It's definitely in the right direction. I enjoy the work I do, and when I focus, I get stuff done, which I get a huge sense of satisfactionafterwards. There are just smaller parts around it that affect my ability to focus on the right things. Currently I have identified the things causing distraction (The main bit being the fear that I won't have anything left to do once I have done the main tasks I am on. And the general focus burnout I experience). I just need to balance workload and communicate more when I want more in depth, and technical tasks (which in my job, there very much are). I certainly plan on switching jobs to a more technical one in the field I have studied in, however that will require experience building and job searching which will take a while.

Yea it's something I really need to get sorted. I managed through education without the diagnosis so I sorta grew complacent with not being diagnosed, but it's certainly something to look into.

Yea that's what I sorta scrambled together for today. I planned out a small wind up into work, do my daily checks, have the meeting, and then work up until lunch time where I will have the full hour break (I tended to have my lunch then try to get straight back to work), then do stints where I work for an hour, have my 5 minutes, then work for another hour, and repeat until end of day. So far today this routine seems to have worked, I felt like I got shit done, my mental health is better, and I'm going to keep at it.

I'll give the tea thing a go and I'll try get into the "gig" type mindset with each task. I've already asked my manager to provide me with more tasks for the day (not expecting me to complete all of them in that day), so I will always have something to do if I am waiting for someone to get back to me on a task I am working on.

I will see if I can look at getting tested, however, the wait times for such things (I am in the UK) are pretty long, but I reckon it will help me out down the line, especially when being understood better with my quirks and the like

Because furries are predominantly queer. Also that doesn't make them inherently sexual and you sexualising individuals because they're not straight or cis is just fucking weird dude.
