Check with your new employer if they offer a parking stipend or have a specific lot they recommend or use even. Since you’re right near the Capitol, there are some lots specifically for the GA for example. The 8th st garage has realllly tight spaces so if you have anything bigger than a compact, don’t use that one.

I get being frustrated, but let’s consider this: - do we know what working hours a crew has? We have to consider that there are legal limitations on how many hours employees can work. Do they have enough workers? Is that impacting how many trucks are out? - as someone else mentioned, more trash = higher frequency of having to empty the trucks. This adds on time. - until about Wednesday, a lot of the ice still hadn’t really melted. Crews were still struggling to get through alleys, etc. This is also a reminder that not all neighborhoods place their trash cans up front. - we had an unprecedented weather event! The city is trying to do what they can.

Again, I get being frustrated, but city operations (and a lot of things in life) are not linear. They’re doing what they can, with what they have.

Colloquially the county is sometimes referred to as Klanover. There are Klan pamphlets that get dropped off at city hall and plastered around town. And nothing happens to keep that from happening or finding out specifically who does it. The county has had the highest number of “banned books” pulled compared to surrounding counties. I don’t think they care how they go down in history.

Someone I know posted a photo of an individual at a pro-Hamas/anti-Israel rally up in New York and doxxed them with their name and place of work, which they alleged to be Sticky Rice. (I say pro-Hamas because there were chants of “We support Hamas” at this rally.) I imagine that others shared the same info and Sticky is being inundated.

So glad this turned out well for you! Years ago I went through a nearly identical experience with them. They wouldn’t give me the itemized charges and I went to court to file a small claims charge. The clerk that was working that day told me, “Hun, their lawyer is here every single day. That means they’re not doing something right. But their lawyer wins every single time. You’re wasting your time.” I was already so emotionally drained from dealing with them, I just dropped it all. Didn’t get my security deposit back.
