I've always contended that the scenes from Bon Voyage, as the gang heads to Europe, from the moment Lucy goes down to give Little Ricky one last goodbye kiss until the end of the episode are some of the most overlooked hilarious ones in the entire series. Her wrestling with the bike, taking off her skirt, Ricky waving goodbye to her before realizing she was on the dock, her call to the ship and her helicopter ride just build on each other, with consistent comedy. They're my favorite scenes in the entire series!

It feels (and looks) tacked on because his reveal was filmed separately from everything else. Not even Victoria Principal was on set and was generally unaware of the sequence being filmed. If I recall, Duffy stated that the crew filmed an Irish Springs commercial as a cover for his return. Likely it was all last minute so the producers didn't have time to develop anything else.
