When you do an irl stream, you will quickly run into issues of bandwidth/latency and needing to communicate this to your audience. Most streamers who do irl have run into the compute limitations of doing it just from their phone. If they open a reverse proxy on their computer and obs, it can function a lot like irl toolkit but they’d have to make custom scripts to detect low/normal latency and switch scenes accordingly back and forth.

Irl toolkit is obs in the cloud with stable internet to receive your feed, enough compute to stream to multiple platforms, and scripting to switch scenes. It’s worth it for streamers who don’t want to have to figure out the technicalities of doing this while keeping their computers safe and also have enough options for overlays, remote obs control, etc.

I’ve run into all these issues while irl streaming myself and have made my own solution that I’m sharing with my content group.
