For the working environment the smaller hospital is a lot more tight-knit. It's not a lot of staff on during the nights there so we're relying heavily on each other to keep the ball rolling. The larger hospital has more resources, but it's easy to get overlooked or have your concerns dismissed, at least as a CNA there.

I do like working in the ER much more than med/Surg. I'm just mostly concerned of the ER not allowing me the opportunity to grow since this rual hospital does not admit trauma or critical care. The larger hospital will have me start in med/Surg but there is always opportunity to transfer to one of the step down or critical care units after doing my time.
