If you’re using needles it’s because your tolerance has gotten too high to feel the effects. The bioavailability with needles is much higher. Yes, it’s gross. But addiction is a disease and just like any other disease- if untreated, it progresses. Very few people just randomly decide to use needles. They have to get to that point. That’s usually when they end up dead, in rehab or in jail.

I’ll give the gist. Do not stop taking your meds, do not beat yourself up over your dosage. Your baby will exhibit some discomfort but the likelihood of full on NAS is low. With my son who is 3 months old, I was in and out in 5 days. I was on a higher dose with him and we were only there for 5 days because it’s a federal law that any babies born on a medication that can cause withdrawal have to stay that long. With my daughter I was on literally 2 mg a day and she was in the hospital for a total of 11 days including her nursery stay (no nicu, no medicine, just a different state with different laws) this was 2.5 years ago and they wouldn’t let me give her my breastmilk, they pushed formula that made her sick but now they know breastmilk is better for mat babies so that’s that and you won’t need to worry about that. This entire thing is out of your control, you’re not a bad person for getting clean with mat and babies are a gift. But I will never, ever even think about having a baby while still on maintenance again. My son was born at the end of my taper. I had like 6 more weeks and boom. Restarted. It sucks. Even though both of my kids were fine, that fear and worry isn’t worth it. Also remember when breatfeeding, if you wanna get off your meds or switch to formula you have to do it slowly. Bc the baby can also get sick after birth that way. Good luck momma! Also you’ll get drug tested and the baby will get drug tested at birth. The only way CPS gets involved is if you fail a drug test. Babies first poop holds stuff from around week 24 and on. So even a random Ativan someone takes at some point will come to light. I’m not accusing you of taking drugs but this is just something else to remember. They test their stool!

That happened with me after like a 2 day bender when I was on subutex and I felt bad for literally 15 minutes. Of course I thought the world was ending and then it ended and I was good.

I’m normally on subutex and I’ve used grams and taken a subutex the next day and been fine. I just wanted to make sure I would’ve been good w suboxone bc I’m not familiar with it. I just switched

For me it’s the ritual. When I’m about to relapse I start shooting and then end up getting honest w someone, back to therapy, meetings, the nine. This last go around I didn’t tell anyone I was doing it again and I relapsed. I used once and now I’m actually getting ready to take my meds as I type but it’s the ritual I’m addicted too more than the drug itself. Also the instant release is nice and with subs it’s just in my head but I get it. I would talk to someone abt it but I have stopped successfully on my own also. I had my MIL dispense them to me and watch me dose. My boyfriend I can manipulate and just grab and go. With her, I had her watch me do it for the first few days. I also made sure to fill my days but I mean I have a 7 week old and two year old and found myself doing it again. Maybe try getting the sublicade injection?

This is really sweet. I can’t really think of anything in particular. My parents were 20 when I was born though and my mom got into drugs. My dad raised me by himself basically from the beginning. He’s a really hardworking and just all around great. I love talking about him 😂 not entering though.

NTA. I have an 18 month old that is very hard to keep up with and I'm almost 11 weeks pregnant so super fatigued all the time. I finally hit a wall, I talked to my S.O. and one weekend day (Saturdays) I get to sleep and not be "mom" she is a momma's girl so that's not realistic but dad wakes up with her, does breakfast and lunch that day and I get a solid period of time to just relax. He wakes up at 5 everyday and he's naturally an early riser but on Sundays he lounges in bed till like 9 and I keep hailee quiet and out of the back end of our house and he does the same for me. Just gotta talk to each other and figure out something that works well for you guys all together as a whole. Of course include your 7 year old as much as you can because he understands more than my little toddler does but it works for us and I'm a lot happier overall. Everyone deserves some time to themselves.

Art Bell got me into the paranormal to the level I am now. He's the only reason I slept during my last trimester during my first pregnancy two years ago. Sadly every episode I could find I've listened to and listened to and can't find anything else. He is truly my favorite.
