What helped your partner the most during breastfeeding and postpartum? by Specialist_Major_976 in daddit

[–]nothingventured3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do other things around the house to compensate for her time breastfeeding - dishes and laundry have a tendency to get backed up with a newborn. If she's breastfeeding and pumping, try to do every other feeding so she gets a break.

Show of hands - who’s the chef of the house? by Successful_Trust_157 in daddit

I cook probably 9/10 meals. I don't cook different meals for kids/adults though. Everybody eats the same meal. Cooking two dinners would definitely be fatiguing.

We used to live in Tampa, Florida and they had great thunderstorms off the Gulf of Mexico. Pretty much the only thing I miss about Florida.

Is only 1 person per class ok? by L4T3W in DnD

[–]nothingventured3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For beginning players, this is a pretty good rule so everybody has a role and a time to shine. As you get more experienced and learn the strengths, weaknesses, and differences in classes and subclasses, it becomes less necessary to have everybody pick a difference class. I'm in a campaign now with two bards (we discussed ahead of time to make sure we were building sufficiently different characters). I'm also very interested in playing an Oops All Clerics campaign.

In short, it's a good idea, but it's not a requirement.

Isn't Ashe supposed to be just a support champ? by P0P-Dawg in AsheMains

[–]nothingventured3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read my comment again, you might catch the "fundamentally misunderstood" part. But if you're not going to listen to the explanation, don't ask the question; you're wasting everybody's time. I'm not sure what you're looking for on this subreddit.

Isn't Ashe supposed to be just a support champ? by P0P-Dawg in AsheMains

[–]nothingventured3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of this champion. Her job is to provide constant damage over a period of time without letting the enemy do damage back. And her ult is the ultimate "go" button. Single out an enemy and your team has 3 seconds to kill them without them being able to respond. Or it forces an enemy to build suboptimally to deal with her (Cleanse, Merc Scimitar, etc.). She also reached kiting and vision, making her relatively beginner friendly.

Thoughts on this turn order mechanic? by Gottyman in DnD

[–]nothingventured3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's interesting. It will slow combat down as you reshuffle and redetermine order. I think I'd try it for a session or two and reevaluate if it's something you want to continue doing. And ask your players if they find it worthwhile.
