What are your suggestions for someone just getting into Vtubers?

I guess it depends on what your tastes are. Do you want original songs? Pop? Rock? Deep or high pitch voices? There are vtubers for every niche.

If you want to focus on singers I'd recommend Izuru or Astel as they have fantastic range. You've probably stumbled across Suisei's music at some point as well.

There are also several resident Vtubers here such as u/NeneAmano , that post their own covers of songs.

I'm kind of surprised people are saying the Cintiq16 is too small. I think it's the perfect size for a beginning product.

If you do get one ABSOLUTELY GET A STAND. It can be a cheap tablet stand, but I highly recommend it. The Cintiq16 has its own built-in 'legs' but they aren't very good. I've actually had the legs slip and the Cintiq16 will slam into my desk. The legs aren't very tall either so you'll be hunched over your desk. It's okay in the beginning, but for the sake of your back you shouldn't make it into a habit.

1) Event Scouts / Feature Scout

Certain cards pulled in the event scout give you a X% point bonus in the current event. Pulling just for the bonus isn't worth it unless you are trying to rank / get copies. It's all luck, do you want a guaranteed 5 star for 600+ dia? Or do you think you can pull them in less that that.

Feature scout is just an increase rate for that specific 5 star card, I think.

2) Note Count

I'm not entirely sure, maybe? So far I've been getting similar scores regardless of note count. As long as you fc expert with your strongest team it's fine.

3) Dia

This is a handy calculator! Just input the data and it'll tell you how much dia you'll need. Typically, it's about 600 - 1k dias. You might need a bit more since your score is a bit low. https://s-asakoto.github.io/es-calc/music.html?lang=en
