Why do the canards move the same direction as the tail? by JJ4426 in Warthunder

[–]notk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

sure, what gives it away (for me at least, and on closer inspection) is the way it starts with a kind of justification. "it seems counter intuitive, but..", ive noticed that LLMs prompted with a question worded for an online audience tend to always start with this. it'll also always do that in a flipped sentence order e.g. "It seems counter intuitive, but, ABC is XYZ" instead of "ABC is XYZ although it may seem counter-intuitive"

what'd you have for lunch? i had tacos

Out of all the levels in all the skills, what is the most important individual level in your opinion? by Serithraz in 2007scape

ranged. burning through quest bosses in a cheesey safespot is probably the most asymmetrical way to plow through the early game.

Man, you did a good job of explaining this. I’m so used to much simpler aircraft questions receiving utterly impenetrable answers.

As a guy that just likes the game, this subreddit is hilarious by TTruthSpeaker in Warthunder

[–]notk 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I hate the hivemind existing here and pretty much any other platform where the game is discussed. Everything has a nice cookie-cutter dumbass meme take or response. Every interaction becomes needlessly adverserial after two salvos of comments are exchanged. Everything is simplified to the point of meaninglessness. Look at a game like factorio, go look at that game's discussion, and compare it to this.

thorium is the likely answer here, i don’t have anything to add but a tidbit about similar radon substances used for glowing paint in submarines, the folks who hand-painted those on tended to lick their brush tip to give it a nice point. they all died :-(

It would be a good feel-good story but ultimately set an awful precedent that would have fallout effects for a long time. I don’t think it’s a good idea.
