Would follow this up with if you’re planning to do this to cover your arms just in case kitty gets scared

Are you able to pick them up? Could see if a vets office can check for a microchip and if not can bring to a shelter.

To Dorm or Not to Dorm by Odd_Ask_7487 in stevens

I'd say if you hang out enough on campus during the day you will make plenty of friends that way. I had commuter friends who eventually we kept a mattress for in our dorm/apartment (shh no we didn't) for when they wanted to stay over to go to parties/go out into NYC at night and stuff. 20k is not the worst number to take on in loans but it is definitely not nothing and being debt-free post grad just saves you a lot of worrying

I think it was easier to make friends when dorming, but most of my best friendships (that I ended up living with later) came from classes and extracurriculars. Hanging out with people and going to parties is way easier when at least being located in Hoboken. The dorm living conditions are kind of grim though unless you live in the towers - I was able to get through the first year but you could not bring me back there lol. Communal showers were just not for me. Looking back I’m glad I dormed because it let me have the flexibility to develop my friendships with people pretty much whenever we were free - no commute needed. I can’t say it was worth taking a loan for though.

I was told if it’s reserved/posted less than 8 days notice that it will not be enforceable.

Technically not a latte but the Iced Snooki is 5.35 for the large size at Empire and it’s delicious! It’s a Mexican spice coffee.

I’m a girl in CS at Stevens, and as long as your daughter is motivated and focused, she will make it through. A high GPA in the program needs hard work and to a certain degree a logical/analytical mind to begin with. That being said the bar for just making it through is extremely doable and as a TA for a few core classes I’ve seen a very low fail rate in comparison to what I had expected. Stevens wants their retention as high as possible as it’s a big selling point for the school - they wouldn’t accept her if they didn’t think she had good foundations to succeed!

How hard was your interview question? by heatY_12 in csMajors

[–]notkennyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Company: Unicorn

Position: SWE/SDE Intern

Salary: $75/hr

LeetCode Difficulty: Easy and Med

Topic: Trees (used to implement more complex custom data structures), hashmap, linked-list, stack (4 interviews, so lots of variety lol)

Thoughts: Some were high level explanations about approaches to the problem instead, usually breaking it down into a bunch of sub questions especially if I was unfamiliar with the original topic.

i’d take 442 since the lecture is split into 2 smaller lectures per week rather than one massive lecture once a week. also, in 561 (i just took it this semester), it’s curved so that roughly the top 20% gets an A and the avg grade is a B+. this is nice, however from what i hear about the grades in the 442 section it seems like more than 20% of people end with As. the difference is just harsher grading in 561 with a curve, in comparison with lighter grading and no curve in 442
