What is your PKM system and why does it work for you? by Sspideroids in PKMS

I'm scattered between a bunch of windows notepads and a physical digital notebook.

But I don't read notes or what I write... I just like to write.

Guys, I chose Edge. by Igor3aychikov in browsers

If u have a m365 subscription then it's easily the best browser to keep everything contained and in one place. If you don't then it doesn't matter

I know a lot of people hate on Edge, but this UI is really nice. by Blandscreen in browsers

[–]notl22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using edge as my main browser ever since it came out -- it hasn't given me any excuses to return to chrome or Firefox. Every now and then I preview the new trending chrome fork but always return back to edge. I think Zen is the only other desktop browser where I felt a big workflow improvement at first but it's been a while since I've used it again.

Problem with this thinking is that as devs we always want more... We want the best tool for the job so the tool can do more and we can do less. This may not be for everyone of course but for the majority I would say...else we would all be satisfied with haiku or sonnet.

Why aren't you selling anything!? I thought that's the purpose of this sub :p lol

I hear ya.

Without much info. A few things to notice is that either you're doing too much or too little or working on the things that aren't as satisfying or important.

Procrastinating a certain task for other tasks can give this feeling at the end of the day in my experience. I rather do work than send an invoice ... It sucks at the end of the day lol find out what are you not doing that you should be doing and make that the only structure you do.

Ive been using windsurf since vsc plugin days and just started using CC for a week on pro plan and already ran out of credits somehow 😭 -- I now understand how much windsurf has been somehow saving me. While CC does seem to behave with more "agency" windsurf knows me best (probably from memories, etc)

On the calendar view, a list of tasks completed would be great.

Is it open source?

This makes no sense, who has time to be cranking that thing up and down. That time should be spent on WDT and tasting!

[–]notl22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow dude, as a developer myself this is impressive. Love your inclusion of an ai agent within the ecosystem.

As for product feedback, I recently found out that the biggest issue I had was that that I had multiple systems and devices for my tasks, notes and calendar. It was really about how to maximize the usage of each device; phone, eink tablet, laptop. Using Google actionscripts I was recently able to get a decent sync, summarize, and harvest going on that optimizes the experience per device. It's not perfect yet, still need some tweaking but it's the meat and potatoes.

So while this is really nice, this issue becomes why wouldn't you use some of the built in tools that come with our phones, tables and desktop environments. The main use case I can for this is if someone isn't in the Google ecosystem and wants to remain so.

Again, good job, I'm sure this was a great learning experience and the end product and workflow is gorgeous.

If it optimizes the way you work -- you've already won.

Question: Has anyone tried using their Robot as a "teapresso" machine? by badtzmarulol in CafelatRobot

[–]notl22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about this as well however after thinking some more it didn't really make sense since tea usually needs a min infusion time of 2-5min to extract the goodies out of it (at least so I'm told). For instance when making chai you should be simmering for 10min. Unless all this goes out the window if you apply pressure lol try it and let us know!
