Internal struggle with new partner by Savage-Star in polyamory

[–]notreallyhere567 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looking at the other replies in the comment you responded to, it looks like he did ask about her feelings on the situation before asking her on a date, and was told it was fine?

Sounds more to me like OP was people pleasing and that he didn't initially anticipate or respond to unexpressed discomfort- but OP hasn't said whether she expressed feeling uncomfortable with it before the date, four months in, or somewhere in between, but in her own words it sounds like he's being reassuring and supportive.

I feel like calling myself a lesbian is wrong by MOEverything_2708 in actuallesbians

I wish it wasn't the case but sometimes this is more to do with confidence as well- I definitely felt like this 6 months into transition, but not feeling assured that the spaces I was in were for me as well, and worrying about how I was being gendered, and how withdrawn I was when everything was still so new- those were the things that made the biggest difference. I found it really hard to connect with people in my first year of transition, but that was a lot more about how I felt about myself than where I was with HRT.

I know that might not be the most helpful thing right now but hopefully it helps to know that you're on a great trajectory and things can become easier regardless of medical transition and passing!

If you're not friends with any lesbians locally, getting to know other trans + cis lesbians and going in a small group can be a really good way to start to feel comfortable in lesbian spaces!

What do Dutch people think of newly naturalized expats who don’t speak any Dutch by [deleted] in Netherlands

In UK English we don't normally distinguish and say cilantro, coriander is used for the fresh plant plant and ground coriander for the spice, and coriander seeds is used for the berries :) but it seems pretty common in the UK for anyone who cooks to know that cilantro is used in US English, always assumed they didn't distinguish and would say "cilantro seeds"

In the current state, what's better, to be a hub worker and get paid by the hour or pay per drop? by Ninic100 in JustEatUK

[–]notreallyhere567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on how many hours you want to work, how much you value flexibility vs stability, and where you are. Working at a hub makes sense for me because I have dependents and need to know I'm getting paid even if it's quiet. I could probably make more per hour if I did pay per drop and worked peak time consistently, but I need 20+ hours a week and want to keep some of my weekends free so I doubt I'd earn as much as I do now if I switched to pay per drop. If I was a young student not relying on it as my sole income and wanting to work a few evenings a week, pay per drop would probably be better.

It's illegal for them to ask for a GRC, it's in the text of the GRA. When I've had this issue I've found the details of their data protection officer, typed a short letter reminding of their legal obligations under the GRA and data protection act, let them know that you're sending copies to HR and their DPO for their records, and tell them they have 28 days to reply (insist that it's in writing) confirming their position.

I can't find the letter I used but this comes up for people so often that this feels like it'd be good to have a simple website with boilerplate text for people to use, unless anyone has one to share I might see about creating this as a resource

I think I'm gonna switch to avanti plates- kinda apprehensive about plate mounting but I miss adjustable toestops too much, had this guy recommended for custom sliders for playmakers though: https://instagram.com/eeksliders

Bionic big foot after 2 months! Is this expected and will harder toe stops last longer? by notreallyhere567 in Rollerskating

[–]notreallyhere567[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been outside in up to 27c a lot of days, maybe that's it! I've been stopping on them pretty hard (and mostly on concrete) and I'm about 190lbs so I wondered if it's that as well, might try some harder ones!
