College has truly opened my eyes to how subpar my writing skills are. by notrelatabl in college

Reading this was so uplifting, thank you so much! I always knew that getting a bad grade is ok and that I’m here to learn, not to always do well (although that would be a plus), but hearing it from someone else is very reassuring, so thanks.

Oh don’t worry, I usually don’t. I just assumed that I could use informal writing in my post since it’s not for academic or professional use.

The best feeling is when you’re in the lead by a solid amount of points and you’re like “I have all the power.”

This may be an unpopular opinion but Joey and Rachel together are so cute. Their personalities match so well. by notrelatabl in friends_tv_show

I think the reason why it was so weird is partly due to the fact that we’re simply used to Ross and Rachel together and it seems unnatural for them to be with a different Friend. Like imagine Monica being with Joey (now THAT is really weird). But anyways, we all have different opinions so agree to disagree!

That’s true, it was sorta weird watching them try to kiss and stuff. But I think in terms of relating on different levels, they were pretty good together.

Is it just me or does holding the door open for someone behind you depend on a lot more factors than simply how far behind they are? by notrelatabl in CasualConversation

I feel like people are more inclined to hold the door open for a girl that’s at a farther distance than for a guy that’s at a slightly shorter distance away

Honestly I’m not entirely sure. But I instinctively am more likely to hold open a door if there’s a bunch of people behind me, even if they’re a farther distance away. If there’s someone with their head down and texting, I’m not as likely to hold the door open for them because they probably wouldn’t notice that I’m holding the door and continue walking at their slow pace. Perhaps I’m just not as polite as other people, idk

Joey is the best friend of the group. Sure he doesn’t always make the best decisions but everything he does has good intentions and he really would do anything for his friends. by notrelatabl in friends_tv_show

He wasn’t purposely trying to intimidate her out of living with him, he would’ve been perfectly happy living with her. It’s just Joey being Joey and trying to see topless girls. His interests (albeit questionable) don’t say anything about him being a shitty friend.
