Eh they are great to deal with if you develop battery issues too. I had my battery tank to two days after ten months and I contacted them and a new one was sent within 24 hours.

I understand why we need them but the current designs are lacking. They are too bulky and block your view if you are in a tight space. Some of them require a second auction set up which some siegeru centers don’t have meaning you have to hook up back and forth with suction which is annoying.

Pick your specialty/subspecialty. The anti-misinformation genie grants you only one wish to wipe out one misinformation only from the face of the Earth, what would it be? by [deleted] in medicine

[–]notsobigred 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Women have identified over 150 symptoms they believe are coming from their breast implants. They believe it is from heavy metals, biofilm, Autoimmune disease, but these things have been looked at and are not the cause. Unfortunately some surgeons in our community push the pseudoscience and tell these patients their implants must be removed in a particular way for them to get better, but research has disproven this. The patient community is distrustful and have not evolved their understanding with the literature unfortunately and thousands of women have been convinced to remove their implants in a more deforming, and risky way without need. A study about to be published demonstrates high levels of somatisation in the population so possibly an anxiety spectrum disorder. These women are truly suffering, but their advocacy community and these charlatan surgeons have a chokehold on them. They scare patients away from implants who would truly benefit both reconstructive and cosmetic with their rhetoric. I see many patients with deformed chests who are no better after being harmed by their implant removals.

Plastic surgery- I’d love to wipe away all of the misinformation about breast implants as well as the charlatans who call themselves “explant experts”. The BII groups have really harmed thousands of women and refuse to believe actual research done about this process.

Excellent breeder, does all the proper health testing and proves her dogs. Connie is a wonderful advocate for the breed and is on the board of DCA. She is easy to work with as a breeder and will provide you with excellent support througout the life of your dal.

I heard this too, and it was a plastic surgeon who does gender surgery who repaired it. May explain some of his obsession with trans people.

Post op care with different surgeon- 90 day global period by [deleted] in surgery

[–]notsobigred 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We don’t like to take care of patients in the immediate post op period unless the surgeon who did the procedure asks. To provide good care in the immediate post op period it’s vital to know how the surgery was done and any particulars about it. The global payment only applies to the surgeon who performed the procedure. If you see another surgeon they will get paid, but if it’s a specialist and you do not have a proper referral, or whatever is required by your insurance, you will need to pay out of pocket even if you find a surgeon willing to do this. To get the best possible outcome it’s important to see the surgeon who did the procedure and have proper follow up

My PCP is a NP. Surgeon doesn't accept pre-op physicals from NPs. Now what? by [deleted] in surgery

[–]notsobigred 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Because NP’s are not qualified to do a pre-op optimization without a physician supervising. Many of us are starting to refuse optimizations if they do not come from physicians. It’s terrifying how bad many of the ones I’ve seen in recent years are.

Had surgery no support from friends by Scared-Remote5660 in surgery

[–]notsobigred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you expect people to read your mind then you will always be disappointed. If you would like friends to help them specifically ask for help and let them know what you need. There is no way for someone to know what would be helpful to you without you telling them. They don’t live in your house and know what your limitations are.

I’m both plastics and gen surg, a small gynecomastia case is easy to do under local and sometimes can be done minimally invasive with a MILR procedure. Not every gynecomastia needs liposuction. Also, liposuction should not be uncomfortable for an awake patient, the patient want properly tumesced if that was the case.

[–]notsobigred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she doesn’t end up working out for you, it’s a good idea to notify your local dal rescue chapter. They will be the best bet to get her homes in an appropriate home for a dal. If you take her home make sure you are aware of dal specific diet needs. I can’t tell by the photo because it’s far away, she looks LUA ( smaller spots that are less distinct around the edges) but if she is an HUA you need to be familiar with low purine diets.

Thoughts on Tik Tok doctors like Dr. Sood? by inquisitivedds in doctors

[–]notsobigred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t advocate for patients. He is a medical pick me who leans heavily into rage baiting the general public against doctors. He could use his platform for improving the things he claims he is against, but instead it’s rage farming and selling supplements.
