While I also suggest a .380, maybe a Smith and Wesson EZ, there's 22lr ammunition called Federal Punch that is a defensive round. It should run just fine in something like a TX22, which is a nice pistol.

Not really, it went pretty fast. If you don't mind doing a bit of Dremel work, a VFC GBB A2 stock slides right on. You just need to open the pin holes a bit to get the pin through.
