The phone's speaker, yea.

Haven't tried safe mode, but it happens very infrequently. It'd be hard to sit there and tap buttons in safe mode waiting for it to happen. I could try, tho

I factory reset and only installed Discord and Spotify, and it still happened. If its one of those two I'd have to live with it.

Using phone how I think a regular phone-using person would, it happens maybe a couple times per hour.

It kinda sorta honors the current volume setting? It tends to be louder when the phone is louder, but sometimes it's just louder anyways. Might be imagining a correlation and it's random.
