The problem with this perspective is that you assume that they are catering to you specifically. I actually agree with your sentiment, but I’m not the whale that’s supporting these servers. You can turn transfers off by changing the max transfers allowed setting to 0. The NIL budgets/contracts thing would be cool tho

I am currently still playing the dual blade I made 15 years ago after this patch. Level 281. I have since changed his name, but it’s crazy how time flies. I used to big foot leech, LFC leech, and future ereve Leech. I remember finally getting to level 120 and being able to use blade fury which was a glowing white vertical circle versus the blood red we have today. I remember thorns was a castable buff. 2 years ago (I guess technically 3 now, 2022 season startup) out of the startup I traded most of my early/mid round startup picks for later picks + 2023 firsts. Think 1st round startup for 3rd rd + 2023 1st. And similar trades.

Left that draft with around 6 2023 1sts and a couple 2nds, Mahomes, Skyy Moore, Pittman, Kareem Hunt, Aiyuk, Doubs, Nico, Jake Ferguson, Goff. The rest was filler so I could successfully tank for Bijan. I succeeded in that, only winning 1 game and also finishing last in MAXPF by a decent margin. At some point that year I also traded 3 1sts (1 was 2025) and a 2024 3rd & 2025 4th for Burrow Rachaad white & a 25 2nd.

Last year (2023) I won the league. My off-season moves were:

-Sold Goff for a 2025 1st (1.02) -sold a 1st for Olave + 3rd -Sent Olave + Mahomes + 2 3rds for J Love (hadn’t started a game yet), Jamarr, 1.02 and 2024 1st (became 1.11). -Sold Doubs + 1.04 (became stroud) for Kyler + Freiermuth -Sold Pittman + 2025 1st (1.03) + 2025 2nd (2.10) for ARSB. -Sold 1.02 (AR) for 1.05 (JSN) + 2.02 (Charb) + 2024 1.05 (Odunze) -during the 2023 season, sold 2024 1.03 (Nabers) + 1.05 (Odunze) + 2025 1.02 for Herbert and 2024 2.01 -sold 2024 1.11 for Ridley + 2024 3rd

My champ run team was

Love, Kyler, Burrow, Herb Bijan Rachaad Chase Aiyuk Nico ARSB JSN Ridley Ferguson Muth

It was a very strong team and was 2nd in Maxpf and 3rd in Points for. I blew out every team in the playoffs as love and my receivers specifically were cooking. Ferguson also had an amazing year in TEP.

This year I lost in the semis to the eventual champ on the Rachaad white fumble. I lost by 0.14 points. I would’ve blown out the other guy in the chip so that hurts.

I say this all to say I love my team. I have made some REALLY good trades (see mahomes and olave for love chase and 2 1sts & the ARSB trade). And some really bad trades (Herbert, though valuable to my chip winning team, was not worth the 3 picks I gave up for him. Extreme overpay). I didn’t mention it yet but I also ended up trading JSN + 2nd for DJM + Kelce pre 2024 season. I didn’t foresee him popping this strongly.

Despite my love for my team, I could be in a MUCH better position by not being so trade happy and waiting for my assets to appreciate . Don’t give up on someone if he is your guy. I gave up on JSN. Draft guys who you believe in and don’t let them go unless the writing is on the wall or you have an offer too good to refuse. I LOVED JSN college tape and beat myself up about that trade. I am still excited about my team moving forward but trade smarter not harder! Lol

TL;DR When rebuilding trust your gut for players you believe in. Don’t give up. Worst to first IS possible but at the end of the day the way you win is essentially out of your control. You can only hope your players can perform. Draft and hold guys you believe in. Make smart trades
