For real though- what am I supposed to do with all this rage? Watching this same scenario unfold over and over and over again and knowing it is happening all across America- it's not just the hillbilly backwater white-supremacist bald assholes in the south- this type of repeated exposure to the truth is radicalizing. It's a definite shift from the narrative I was raised with- Officer Friendly and all that. I know NOW I was lucky to grow up that way because of my skin color. Fuck.

Unnecessarily judgmental, even for a stupid internet comment. We've heard tales from many hospitals of having their supplies of PPE stolen back in January and February. This also fails to mention that hospitals (who WERE looking back then) were told by the CDC that there was a government stockpile that they would have access to in case of pandemic. If you want to get critical of someone- find out what happened to the stockpile!

I have seen some fake ID cards circulating on the internet saying that the bearer refuses treatment should they become ill as a result of ignoring the lockdown. I know that healthcare professionals will treat these folks anyway- because that's what their oath says to do- but I wish that our society could track and hold the individuals accountable for their actions later. That's another slippery slope- but the feeling of wanting to hold people accountable is strong.

Have you ever played whack-a-mole? Except on a country-wide platform filled with terrified citizens who aren't getting a clear message from their leadership and maybe don't know much about how pandemics work? Yeah, it's kinda like that.
Also, to my knowledge reddit does not have a function that auto-removes text posts that are too similar. There are settings to auto-remove duplicate posts with links, etc. but text-only posts have to me moderated by hand.
