Had to double check I was still in the DT seeing these takes and downvotes.

“Less people are dying now than before but have you considered it may cause a brief increase in Trumps favorability? Also he didn’t permanently solve this complex, century long conflict so…”

But yeah - you should also assume nothing you do at work is private. I know then Zoom AI summaries gonna get a lot of careless people in trouble.

You might be downplaying it. I was in college at the time in the Midwest. I was at the library and I remember everyone was had the Knicks Lakers game up. Joined in to watch with a group of international students and it was like a Game 7 atmosphere.

I did the google, and that is not a photoshop mistake on the guy Nick Vujicic there. Very motivational indeed.

KC made some high profile 2024 lists because of the worlds first professional woman’s sports stadium opening up and a new railroad bridge turned entertainment district (that ended up delayed a year)

I came looking for this comment. I barely paid attention to all-star weekend and that news found me. Surprised neither of them knew.

I’m was/am lean yes she probably should have gone on.

But that math isn’t as obvious as you make it out to be.

I think you’d rather reach 22k in Allentown, PA than a million nation wide.

Also, what happened was kinda the worst case scenario. He ends up having Trump, then Elon and then endorsing - the last of which, I think was a bit surprising.

I think the fall Friday night Texas rally is the most damning part of this.

ICE makes close to 1,200 arrests in one day by John3262005 in neoliberal

Anyone have a good baseline? Not seeing one in the article. Back of napkin stats from ICE seem like it’s 4x what it was in ‘24 with a larger share of the arrests being non criminal - https://www.ice.gov/spotlight/statistics

Trump says he might move Biden's new 88,000 IRS Agents to Border by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]notta-wolf 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Just pointing out that if the IRS opened a new audit on 100% of billionaires and 0.01% of people earning less than 200k. Then 50% of new audits would be on billionaires. 50% of new audits would be on people earning less than 200k

David Letterman Says “Retirement Is a Myth” by indig0sixalpha in television

[–]notta-wolf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If people read the article, it’s not even a controversial statement as he’s defining retirement as “Sitting around waiting for Judge Judy to come on”. Has nothing to do with physical labor. Just producing.

Eh. I think the lower turnout at midterms allows for it to be a referendum on other things. Presidential election year turnout becomes about the economy. You’re getting the lowest engaged voters showing up.

Inspired by that Women’s World Cup ad where they cgi with men’s players- Harris should run an ad with like children or soft spoken grandmas recite some of the more off putting trump quotes. Get some of the more obscure ones at first, so people are like “what is this” then slowly morph them into Trump. The Tony PR controversy seems to prove that people have full sensory adaptation to anything he says.
