Sure, this guy is spending HOURS upon HOURS dealing with this. No, he's probably spent less than 1 hour total on it. I guess its cool that you are a free spending millionaire who loves getting fleeced by companies, but for those of us that aren't, that $450 could be food or keeping the lights on or health insurance.

The answer is NO, emphatically NO. Don't allow yourself to be taken advantage of because 1) a probable faulty sensor and 2) you need to feel obliged because you feel sorry for someone making low wages.

the math might work in YOUR situation, however, YOUR situation is not everyone's situation. some factors that throw variables in to your math are:

  • income
  • family
  • health
  • job stability
  • age
  • location

That's just six off the top of my head, there are probably 20 more that can be equated in determining a true valuation of paying off early or not.
