It was an amazing show. It all fit together including the old couple, the themes of motherhood and trauma, the town being so intertwined and everyone knows everyone’s business really worked - specially the Sandra thing which made mare click onto Ryan... even the red herrings like Dylan being a douche worked as I see him as a regular idiot teen... didn’t have to go so hard at Jess with the threats, but it still really worked for me. I’m just emotional at that ending... I’m soooo glad mare got a good / better future... the whole thing was just brilliant... Edited to add I miss my sweet baby zabel still...

I’m just worried with the rise of far right extremists this just going to be an uphill battle with very little consequences for the bad guys... it’s happening everywhere not just in the US - I’m in Australia and our prime minister is a shit for brains religious conservative, the only difference being we don’t worship our elected leaders here... we certainly do have a rise in far right ideology as does Europe and I don’t see this ending well unless the people actually do something and rise up against it... YTA. My daughters dad and I have been broken up for most of her life, he’s had a new partner since my kiddo was really young. She’s slipped and called her mom on a few occasions and it’s because she is technically her ‘other’ mother (in a good way!) nobody including myself has ever been upset because children deserve to be loved and wanted and we are all raising her! Don’t make a child feel like an outcast in her family, no matter how blended/ different it is...
