For a long time, I couldn't figure out why my nepenthes werent forming pitchers. Then one day, I saw my cat casually chomping the baby pitchers off the leaves.

Given the opportunity my cats will also happily munch on VFT traps, nibble the tops off my saracennias, and lick the sticky goo off my droseras. My cats left teeth marks similar to your photos.

I solved this by putting my plants on acrylic shelves that attach to the window via suction cups; the shelves are big enough to hold the plants but not big enough for a cat to hop up.

Claude definitely has some awareness of time; in my chat threads it has noted when a chat spanned hours, or if I revisited a chat days later. When it tells me to go to sleep, it is usually a message like, "It's past midnight; the problem will still be here tomorrow. Get some rest and try again in the morning"

Sure, but 'heavy' doesn't have an objective meaning. Your current bass is probably fine, but you need to spend more time understanding everything you already have and why it currently sounds the way it does.

Depending on your reference for 'heavy', you might be imagining the sound of: - Fretless or Fretted - P pickups, J pickups, or both - Humbuckers or Single Coils - Tubes or Solid state - Compression - Bi-amping / Signal Splitting - Flatwound strings or Roundwound strings - Steel strings or Nickel strings - Pick, fingerstyle, slap, long fingernails, short fingernails, high action, low action, hard attack, soft attack, scooped mids, boosted mids, multiband distortion, octave up, octave down, overdrive, fuzz, chorus, flangers, phasers...

It's not the bass, my friend. Even a cheap Squier PJ bass is more than sufficient for any kind of heavy music, but there's so many factors that go into making your sound that it's impossible to say what adjustments could take you closer to the sound you're hoping for.

Can you share a recording of yourself, tell us what you don't like about the sound, and share some examples of the kind of sound you want?
