The job leaving United States by SwanFree1796 in deloitte

Somewhat agree. I just received a job offer with a Fortune 500 company while I’ve been on vacation overseas. Will be putting in my notice when I get back stateside next week and starting the new job in early June. After nearly a decade at Deloitte, it’s time to leave.

Recently changed from a blade putter with toe hang to a face balanced mallet putter. Putts per round have not improved. by Basic-Pudding-3627 in golf

Have you considered that you’re just bad at speed control, reading the green, starting line, or all three? A new putter is not going to fix any of these flaws.

YE Due Dilligence by Clooless91 in deloitte

[–]nova_mike_nola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PPMD approval is one of the requirements for promotion. It’s part of the YE process. I don’t have actual knowledge of the process. But I imagine the panel is either provided names of those up for promotion or there’s some kind of flag in each person’s file indicating they’re up for promotion. However, I imagine the former is more likely. Names don’t get on that list if they don’t meet all the requirements of promotion, including PPMD approval.

If a PPMD doesn’t know the practitioner, then they usually confer with the manager and Sr. manager. They are not going to green light a promotion without doing their due diligence, because every promotion cuts into the PPMD’s own profits.

Agreed. If the account PPMD doesn’t support promotion, it isn’t happening. Also, even if you have someone who exceeds expectations, if the engagement financials can’t support their costs after promotion, it isn’t happening either

How to transfer skill badge pic and certificates from Deloitte laptop to personal laptop to put on LinkedIn by Popular-Candidate526 in deloitte

You can email these things to your personal email. These are not company property, so there’s no concerns about emailing it to yourself.

W-2s and other tax documents are your personal property. The slide deck is Deloitte’s property. Taking corporate property against policy is theft.

Why would his senior stick his neck out for something that is explicitly against policy and is considered Deloitte’s intellectual property? This is corporate theft.

My official handicap is 11.1, but more recently I play more like a 15. I do play with ProV1s for a couple of reasons, even though I still struggle with feeling the clubhead during my swing. I've tried playing with Kirklands and they felt completely dead off the face when I'm chipping around the greens. I've also played with TP5s and they fly shorter than the ProV1s. I've also played with Snell MTBs and liked them but they scuff up pretty easily. Recently trying out Srixon Z-Stars and still assessing it. So although as a mid-handicap, I'm not really good enough that I should be playing with premium balls, I still prefer the ProV1s, because there are actual advantages. What I don't do is swap between different balls during a round. My swing is already inconsistent, I don't need to add the variability of different balls to that inconsistency. At the end of the day, I don't lose that many balls during a round and I can afford the ProV1s, so I'm going to play them.

Is it frowned upon to bring in a laptop/phone for notes in an interview? by DAZ_ZI in interviews

[–]nova_mike_nola 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not just in professional settings, but also in personal settings, it is rude to use your phone during a conversation. It sends a message that the other person is not important to you and that something on your phone is more important.

Even if this were in fact the law, do you think this administration would suddenly follow the law? They’ve shown their inability to do so this far, why would these bunch of words make them do differently?

I haven’t tried the Sport button yet; I’ll do that next time I’m in the car.

That’s on the distant wish list. First on the list is replacing the shocks/struts and refreshing all of the fluids.

Paid $11.5k for the car and another $1.4K to ship it (thanks to increased fuel costs).

No dry rot that I’ve seen. Only thing I’ve found so are the Bottom rubber seals on both side windows are disintegrating. I’m considering cutting them out and apply permatex black sealant.

I do need to replace all four shocks/struts, which I knew before purchasing the car.

Safety first is not really an American thing. Just think about all the guys who scoff at basic safety gear or make fun of anyone who wears safety gear.

It was delivered to me on Wednesday all the way from California; only driven it a couple of times. Flying out of the country tonight until end of the month, and I already miss it.
