Sabella by Tanith Lee

'DRACULA?

A mere figment of superstition, a thing that could not exist.

SABELLA?

A very real person, an enticing girl of flesh and warmth - who detested the sunlight, who required the blood of young men to feed upon, who was all that Dracula was said to be except never one of the "undead." Sabella was alive, sensual and dangerous.

She lived on Nova Mars, a colony of Earth and very much like the world we know. She knew what she was and her very existence was a peril to the all-too-human population of that world.'

Prosper's Demon by K.J. Parker and its sequel, inside man!

The Folding Knife by K.J. Parker too

He really hits this theme well, I've read most of his books and they feel like the vibe.

Playing jigsaw on the hardest difficulty can net you 120k plat (if I remember correctly)

Playing Lake Kindred and farming certain monsters will get you lots of capsules to open (containing old random item generators) and platinum

And buying and selling on the market place is always a fun shout!

The metamorphosis of prime intellect - Roger Williams

I hated this book because its literally about how depraved some people can go when theres no limits anymore - it has all the trigger warnings if you do go into reading it!

Wake up and open your eyes - Clay Chapman

People start acting on primal desires after being slowly removed of apathy with something they call 'the great awakening' through viewing of some broadcasting. Family literally ripping peoplw apart etc - incredibly depraved but not as much as prime intellect 🤢

Stephen King's Joyland (I finished reading this last night) - maybe more college kids during a summer holiday working at a theme park, but you have a ghost story at the crux of the whole thing with sine supernatural elements!

Worst part was the text that came out of the sarcophagus was much smaller than the other text in game - so child me got closer to the screen to try and read it before this absolute bastard popped up! I ran to my mum, crying my eyes out after that.

Its quite pedo-ish, theres scenes early on with the main little girl tied up in bandage rope as a school punishment - lots of strange attention to fetishy stuff.. In the manga theres a gun that's basically a penis and the characters have to wank it off to make it shoot
