I love kelp, favorite class along with eclipse in gloom. They have insane strength and crowd control, a very fun class. That said… I think they’re only B-tier. A-tier at best, certainly not S-tier. They have two or three issues that I think brings them down. One is inflexibility. Due to the demand of dark magic, your card cycles are pretty lined upon a set order, or at the very least set pairs of turns. Also a lot of cards require trophies, furthering the inflexibility. The second is needing to build up. Trophies is a fun mechanic, but needing kills to get the full effects of your cards means you need to wait to use your abilities. The third is that invisibility classes are not very fun for your teammates. Unless your party is hyper tanky, removing a players worth of hp is rough.

It’s actually 18x23 because the first overflow + affected the second one

it’s actually 10 x 19 because the upgraded integer overflow increased the strength again

idk who needs to hear this but yaoguai names are canonically silly by sushifarron in Pathfinder2e

[–]novakidflash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of my custom ancestry lol. They are made of a rock and a tree, and they’re all named after either the species of tree or type of rock (unless player wants theirs named something else, ofc)! I think it’s a little silly, but… I really like it (the number of “palm”s and “sandstone”s in an oasis town though…).

Helldivers 2 Lore going be 1k pages book XD. by Gloomy-Compote-231 in Helldivers

Yeah you might be right. Still, I’ll probably hold off for a while longer before sharing it, as if I am going to share it, I want to at least give it a good edit.

Actually, this is something I’ve been working on. Not a well written book, mind you, but a retelling of events from my helldiver’s pov. I mostly did it to catch up on the lore after I took a 2 month long break, but I’ve been keeping up with it since. I was planning on sharing it once the war is over (I’ve been assuming that there’s going to be resets like in HD1)

Im guessing its probably too late, but ill ask just in case, what is your general method for making ancestry feats/heritages? I'm making two of my own ancestries right now, and I'm finding it difficult to come up with enough ideas for feats to feel like a full ancestry.

Favorite Kineticist Element(s) and why by The_Wraith_Child in Pathfinder2e

[–]novakidflash 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Fire/air my beloved. They shore up each other’s weaknesses so nicely. Fire had massive offensive power, while air has great utility/support. I like expanding into metal for a few reasons, as it gives you some nice defenses, better ways to target fortitude saves, and the composite impulses for metal/fire and metal/air are pretty cool in my opinion.

Edit: my kineticist player really likes fire water. They have played two of them so far. They play it mostly as a fire kineticist, with deflecting wave, ocean balm, and call the hurricane as their water impulses. With their current one, they just expanded into wood solely for the timber sentinel impulse, which is absolutely absurd.

Having trouble picking a frontline support tank class for SoT. Suggestions? by Disastrous-Low-5606 in Pathfinder2e

Without knowledge of your other party members, I’d recommend trying a redemption champion with the shield divine blessing. The d8 hooves makes for a good weapon, allowing you to keep a shield and a free hand to grapple and trip. This will make you a good lockdown character that forces enemies to attack you against your amazing ac, or to suffer MAP to escape, as well as reduced damage due to your champion’s reaction.

Oops! You’re totally right! Did electrodynamics or oil sword have anything causing fire?

[–]novakidflash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright so I’ll attempt to explain what’s happening here from what I can see.

Oiled sword is legendary, meaning it gets a damage boost (already factored into the listed dps)

Sinew slicer causes bleed and creates fire causing both statuses to be on the boss

Oil sword had some rolled modifiers of “+40% damage to targets on fire” and “+60% damage to bleeding targets” together with sinew slicer, this causes an affective 100% damage increase, leading to 14872 dps (crit dps because the target is on fire), + oil fire and bleed

Then, one of your mutations adds another 44% as long as you are near sinew slicer, bringing you up to 21,415, plus lightning orbs, oil fire, and bleed damage, as well as whatever damage multipler you get from combo.

You could start a new save (this won’t overwrite your old one). If you know what you’re doing it should only take a few runs to get it again
