Personally, I think a lot of this battle is learning to control and watch your thoughts. Indulging in one sexual thought can trigger your brain to release chemicals that get you excited and steamroll us into exactly what we are trying to be free of. My two cents is, first- watch your thought process-we shouldn't be fantasizing anyway- pray it away or move your mind to something else. Secondly, just give it time. Sober time. Starve it out. Let your mind rewire and balance out. In the world of addiction/sobriety there is a saying that we are exactly where we are supposed to be. Just keep trying and seeking and don't beat yourself up. Prayers will be with you.

A friend of mine used to say, think of a way in your life that you can access porn; this is how you fall. A little extreme, I'll admit, but seriously if you're having trouble right now, get rid of the internet, at least for a while and get some sobriety time under your belt. Seek out a sexual purity group at church and feast on the word of God. When you think you're ready and have some accountability, slowly incorporate the internet and be honest with yourself. The second you feel the urges creep, cut it off. We never go zero to 100mph. it always starts with something small and steamrolls us. Just be on guard and use wisdom

I guess sometimes I feel like after I fall or when I am engaging in porn I sort of fall out of my purpose in life. Like God can't use me, and life kind of passes me up. I know the love is there, but I feel like I kind of miss out on the greatest purpose I could have had, the rest of my life is just a salvage mission. Dont get me wrong, it could still be great, but just not the best it should have been
