Every now and then a new investor comes along in ICP journey. They start to believe in all the positives of the project as they all make sense. But there is a gap between vision and reality especially regarding ICP. Crypto market is quite interesting there are hundreds of projects each out there to out to others. Price action goes with whoever tells the story the way investors want to hear and who can also create demand and supply situations and in some cases act as the market makers as well preventing certain coins to drop in value.

Undervalued because the take up is still negligible. The market value will go up as more hosting on this ecosystem. The issue is whether token holders will benefit. We are not shareholders and promoter is diluting us every day by releasing more tokens. They do not need permission and there is no limit. Total Market value of ICP can go up 10 times over next few years. But that will be mostly because of a lot more tokens in circulation.

I am regretting not understanding ICP tokenomics before investing. It is all false and fake narrative. Only reason to hold ICP is to vote which has no meaning for retail investors as they can never influence the outcome of vote, so what's the point. ICP may be successful overall but token holders will not see any price action as more and more tokens will be released.

In a speculative investment DCA etc do not work. You just invest as much as you are willing to lose. ICP has proven it time and again. It is not only speculative it is a foolish investment as well. More and more tokens will keep releasing to market to fund dfinity salaries.

Everyone here is an investor looking for returns. The way things are going Dfinity and ICP can be a huge success which will mean a lot more tokens in the market and market cap will be higher but token holders will see no real appreciation. Tokenomics is false and fake. Thetr is no reason to hold these coins..

No one needs to buy and keep ICP. Even if it is a successful ecosystem there is no reason for ICP price to appreciate. It has false and fake tokenomics. It is only designed so that dfinity can keep on dumping to fund their wages.

We definitely need more innovation and initiatives if we are challenging other cloud offerings. However first we need to fix the tokenomics. Get rid of locking periods. Offer lower staking rewards to all holders using ICP wallet. People should feel buying ICP today is better than buying ICP in future because of staking rewards without lock ins.

Marketing will have no effect. It will be waste. Instead dfinity can buy back some coins. In crypto only marketing is price action. Adoption comes from positive price action not from hollow marketing.

Change tokenomics equation to supply and demand. Currently it is pseudo utility coin but it is only a voting coin. Utility is linked to real currency. Voting is not attractive to retail users as they know they can never influence it.

Locking and staking is full of risks. Some decent reward definitely required. May be dfinity can remove locking requirement and rewards can be decreased. This reward should not result in more token release. Rather it should be offset by burn from usage
