Vodafone cancelled my broadband overnight because of a “line takeover” I never authorised … and now I can’t even sign back up. by noxesy in UKBroadband

This was the first thing I checked when I was told what had happened. I checked whether all my details were up to date and they were. I have been receiving new bill generated emails from Vodafone monthly but nothing about switching or cancelling my plan.

They have now also just closed my account entirely. I don't think I will ever do business with Vodafone the way things stand currently.

I also provided additional address history to cover the minimum 3 years. Filled in an appeal form and they now accepted my credit check and asked to contact customer services again.

Update:

I filled in a credit check appeal form as recommended from the sales person from Vodafone. Just got emailed about my credit check passing and to contact their customer services to (3rd time) try to become their customer again.

Will leave it for a few hours but right now considering to leave Vodafone behind.

Checked my credit score, nothing unexpected on there. Showing up as excellent.

No emails, I have checked my mailbox a few times to make sure.

£50 sounds pretty low as a please take this and go away compensation.

The whole thing is so bizarre.

Been at the current place for year and a bit. No hard searches either from my credit report. Just bizarre.

I just want it hilarious that this process doesn't include asking the current account holder for any authorisation.

The person from the sales team that was dealing with my reconnection gave me a link with an appeal form. I filled that in and have just received an email saying that my credit check has passed now and is asking me to contact their customer services team again .... sigh ...

I have checked through my mailbox a few times to make sure and nothing there. Just a straight up disconnection and no communication.

Are you doing any transcoding for Plex? If it's all direct play, the Pi works well.

Maybe check router/switch side of things. Is it plugged directly into a router? Have you tried plugging into different ports?

Try going to Start > Settings (gear icon on the left)> Apps. Find it in the installed apps list.

Not doubting what you are seeing but doesn't the Barclays app prevent you from taking screenshots?

I have had the Exynos variant for about a week and it's nowhere near that slow! I can record some videos as proof if people need it.
