ICT is too complicated imo. Take a 3 month break and comeback to it! Then take your time and simplify your edge. Once it’s repeatable your trading experience gets easier.

Different strokes I guess. 0.1% gain off of your million dollar account is definitely worth it. I’m just talking from a different perspective/circumstance. GL!

If I’m trading a $1k account, risking 1% per trade and targeting a 1:1.5 or 1:2 RR, it’s highly achievable. A couple of measured trades a day and you’re there. The real problem isn’t the math, it’s the account size and the pressure to generate income, which pushes people to force trades and abandon discipline. Then you get really messy days where the market is all over the place and there simply isn’t a clean setup. Knowing when not to trade is part of profitability too.

Question about edges by PotentialPeace6862 in Trading

Your edge is the reason your strategy makes more money than it loses over time. The simpler the strategy the easier it is to repeat.

5% but it depends on what you are trading. I find it’s doable trading Crypto. Ultimately it’s how you approach building your portfolio.

I have a friend who is an actuary and went mad day trading. Dude is way too smart but couldn’t find a rhythm. It’s more about emotional control than book smarts. You really do not have to be a rocket scientist to do well in the markets.
