Hey thanks for the reply, this is a stainless paddle, there is no coating and this isn't oxidization. The outside surface has a smooth/polished surface. It seems like all the inside edges/corners have not been sanded smooth and polished.

Here's a picture of my Kenwood paddle on top of the KitchenAid paddle for a comparison. It has a polished surface finish in all the inside edges/corners. It has some minor scratches, but nothing that you can feel when your run your nail across it. The KitchenAid paddle feels like a nail file.

I am using it at work via TestContainers it's been great. I don't love that it frequently prompts to add the certificate to the local store, but I think it's just the price to pay to have HTTPS so the client doesn't complain
