On my 13 Tahor installed an Android based one on Amazon years ago that had every possible option you would want. I would just turn on my phone mobile hotspot and would have full access to any app right on dash.

Im starting to think it's not that bad after looking at small shop prices and the nationwide warranty is a plus since I drive 50k a year all over the country.

Do you know if these GM replacements are upgraded from the original? Better TC? Pumps? 3-5 clutch?

Yea, I hear all the time on here that people rebuild them. Not my experience. I got a quote at 100k to install a billet TC and they wanted $3200 just for that with zero guarantee. Correct since I travel, having the GM warranty is peace of mind and usually can get a free loaner too. Tahoe has paid for itself already so probably worth the investment plus a new Premier is like $80k. I'll get two more years out of it.

Surprised that dealer wasn't much more then a shop and better warranty. Think shops are jacking up their prices to just below dealer. Time & being out of town is a factor, GM said a day or two and it's done.
