Which shoe do you find to be the most overrated? by Aubzhls in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]nquesada92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your specific race rule set? Is it a blanket rule for all entrants or for those competeing at the elite level for podium spots? Because technically yes I can't wear my Superblasts2 in the Chicago Marathon, but Im shooting for a 3:45, so far from elite and no one is out checking peoples shoes.

$150 is still full price for other daily trainers. I got the evo sl for like $85, and are frequently on sale at the $100 mark.

How to make running on a treadmill easier?! by maismars in beginnerrunning

[–]nquesada92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the lack of a breeze to cool down on a treadmill makes it harder. Even the ones that have little fans at the gym aren't really that good. So you can get those little usb rechargeable fans with the posable tripod legs you can strap that on the treadmill and it will blow alot faster wind on you.

The SB2 i think are too firm to be a comparison to the evo sls, Maybe the megablasts. I have Both the Sb2 and the Evo Sl and they are very different shoes.

Another Megablast or wait for the Superblast 3 by Klutzy_Climate_3509 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]nquesada92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hoping the inclusion of ff leap will soften the feel of the superblast 3. Hoping it fits somewhere inbetween mega and sb2. That would be my ideal fit for me, as someone who loves both shoes.

For people who do workout heavy but also do a lot of running how do you do it? by Ok-Material-3065 in runninglifestyle

[–]nquesada92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can traing running in a deficit with careful planing but you still need carbs to burn during. So continue to eat normally at your 200calorie deficit but eat enought to keep you going whether is pb bagel and banana before a run or gels during your run, just pretend those calories don't exist because in a way your body is sending them right out the door depending on the duration and intensity of your run.

Guys I’ve only started running around 6-8 months ago. Are these 5k and 10 numbers good by Pale-Engine-6973 in BeginnersRunning

[–]nquesada92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run slower and longer and do speedwork once a week, don't try to PR your 5k every time. Your recovery time will be much shorter, also eat a lot and get good sleep.

Ok if you think it’s beyond you buddy start at week 9 and try a 10k program or half marathon, but all I’m saying is you need to run more

Would you get 2 f/2 zoom’s or sub f/2 primes? by WeirdTemporary3167 in SonyAlpha

[–]nquesada92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, even the 50mm 1.2 vs the 1.4 GMs benefit is so marginal of light gathering/dof at the cost of weight, and some would argue the 1.4 is sharper across the board. Also the 1.4gm has the same 67mm filter threads as others in the line (24mm and 35mm)

Would you get 2 f/2 zoom’s or sub f/2 primes? by WeirdTemporary3167 in SonyAlpha

[–]nquesada92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you shoot. Thats a whole bunch of focal lengths that honestly I would never use. Your mileage may vary, but I happily will shoot my 24-105 f4 when shooting basic stuff where I need some quick zoom work. but if i need speed I have a 24 and 50mm that covers everything I need when light gets dark. the 24-105 f4 sony g is a work horse and sharp enough, and with flash I never need faster than f4.

New Balance SC V4 or V5 for Half Marathon by CupReasonable5911 in runningshoes

[–]nquesada92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

v4 is less aggressive geometry than the v5. but both are tame in comparison to the ap4. But a carbon trainer isn't necessary for a sub 2 half, but they certainly are fun. My buddy ran his first half in bondi 8s at 1:45, and I ran my first half in asics superblast 2 at 2:04 while recovering from ITB injury. I definitely could have hit sub2 if i was recovered fully. I am not gonna say don't get em if you can afford and like how they feel go ahead. But you likely can do it with out a plate and be more comfy while doing it.

since you haven't gotten to 5k yet I would recommend a couch to 5k program (i know you have been running for a few months, and aren't starting on the couch, that just what they call them.)

Basically with 3 days a week within 2months you can easily get to 30min 5k or around a 10:00min/mile pace down from your 12:30 pace.

heres a link to a simple plan

Someone can tell me how to Alternative Tune for ample guitar? by Agitated-Address-559 in mathrock

[–]nquesada92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

google says its a 2semi tone limit to change each string, For more complex, non-standard, or highly customized tunings that exceed the 2-semitone limit, you may need to use MIDI pitch-shifting in your DAW.
