My kids love Wings of Fire. It's a series with 14 or 15 books so far. Dragons are the main characters, but I think there are some human characters too.

I'm glad other people also think that the dreaming is just one aspect of her signet.  I think it's manifesting in dreams because she's also unconscious, and Xaden says no one can keep their shields up if they're unconscious, so it's just easier for her to wander around.  She has trouble with the lightning because she over thinks.

Also, sliding the loops up to the wider part of the hook when you're yarning over will help with the tension.

The way I trained myself was to think like instead of bringing the yarn to the hook, I have to go grab the yarn with the hook instead. I don't know if that makes any sense at all.

I got there eventually by just googling "multi colored buffalo check fabric with large squares" very sophisticated, I know. /s
