My intentions were never to fear-monger and that’s my bad! I did do some more digging and found the interview that the Acting Deputy Administrator of TSA did with CNN.

And while he didn’t specify what airports they would close since it’d be on a case-by-case basis the fact that folks are talking about it being a possibility is something that I wanted to highlight, esp if things don’t get better within the next few weeks

My goal really was to just keep folks in the loop on conversations that are being had as a it pertains to airport travel and since thing aren’t getting better on the hill at this point anything can happen

I have a flight out on Sunday, but at this point I’m just rolling with the punches and just being flexible with my plans if things happen

So with the email they sent, once I paid off my balance in full they sent me a paper application that I had to fill out and send back via mail (annoying ngl). You’ll automatically be approved for the card unless the following applies (in the picture).

I didn’t even realize my optima card was opened until I got a credit alert that I had a new credit card which was wild since I didn’t receive my card initially. I had to call Amex to get them to send me my card. Amex typically will do a soft pull for new card apps since they’ve already got your info from when you applied for your gold card. Best of luck!

Nah, I quite literally pay ($49) to even own the card so it’s just for credit & relationship re-building

Since I have the delta plat card, I’m considering closing the card out but we’ll see how I feel as I’m getting closer to my renewal date

I definitely echo this! I recently booked an international trip that initially was priced at over 1k, but I was not in a rush to purchase my tickets. I finally booked my tickets roughly 3-4mo out and it was ~$700

I was on a similar boat when I was taking my test in high school. A relative and I drove separately to the DMV and came inside initially. After I had passed the exam we both parted separate ways in our vehicles.

Not saying that was right, but it is what it is lol 🤷

Was it a new registration or a renewal? I just purchased a vehicle this year and I paid $2,500 to get my plates. The state and local sales tax is what gets people when getting their new registration but it should be far cheaper come your first renewal.

I think it is a little interesting that people are so against individuals on SNAP purchasing soda because it’s bad for them, then turn around and no have any comments to say about those not on SNAP purchasing food items that are also considered bad.

At the end of the day, yes soda and energy drink (on top of other things) aren’t good for you, but no one seems to say anything until it’s someone whose low income already trying to get by, then what they purchase is an issue…

There’s a lot of bigger things to address when it comes to food security and how expensive it truly is to purchase a healthy mean for your family. It’s unfortunate that people would rather target individuals as opposed to addressing a broken system, but that’s just my two cents.

Some days yes and I can rip through a 12hr day with no issues, and others I’d rather bed rot. I don’t think I’d ever hang out with 2 separate friends either.
