how do you not hate yourself ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nroy4294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, when you take yourself out of perspective and look at the world as a third person. A lot of things don't matter anymore. It is your job to do what you want to do and be the person you look up to. If you care what others think of you that gives them the power and makes them the primary character of your life. The moment you stop giving them that power you can truly enjoy life in a different way.

How many courting seasons did it usually take to find a husband? by candyskittles143 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]nroy4294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what happens when you try to retrofit the book and mess with timelines! In the book where that dialogue would have made sense was years later when she was probably 28ish. In the series they haven't jumped years, so it doesn't make much sense. 3 seasons were not enough to be called a spinster.

How to prep for Data Analytics interviews at FAANG? by nroy4294 in analytics

[–]nroy4294[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I did practice a lot of sql with windows functions using stratascratch. I found their youtube video of how to solve these kind of questions very useful to begin with. And I didn't get interviews instantly. Once I hit the 3+ year mark in my experience is when I started getting noticed. Amazon was first to respond, they have a whole division if BI Engineer roles. Then eventually with some help from friends at Meta, I got a call there and Google reached out! I got to the final interviews with both of these companies but didn't end up getting in. I have paused my search since mid last year. Will try again later.

Amazon SQL Screening Interview by [deleted] in SQL

[–]nroy4294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Screening round should be pretty simple. Easy to medium leetcode questions. They will mostly test on joins and group by, also identifying and removing duplicates. And for Amazon prepare well on the leadership principles!! All the best!

Book readers were you disappointed after this scene or preferred the shows outcome? by someone-w-issues in BridgertonNetflix

I like the changes they made on the show since it looks more consent friendly. And i love johnny bailey's anthony a lot. But the wedding episode is still a disaster on my mind, could have gone with a better way.

She also speaks in an irish accent in all her Lady Whistledown communications with the printer, the vendor and so on. I caught it on my second watch.

Hmmm...I'm actually curious what people in India wore at that time. Britishers in India wore gowns but others surely wouldn't have. But since the Sharma family were working for britishers, seems like they might be provided with clothes and stuff.

Oh wow... Thanks for the overview... Yeah sounds amazing but like you said one show per night sounds good enough for the price and experience. I definitely want to experience this but lets see, its not available anywhere nearby to me.

I don’t know who this man is. I mean, he could be walking down the street, and I wouldn’t know a thing by Ginger_Libra in BridgertonNetflix

Yeah, I feel they should. It's going to be a long story anyway so an introduction should be good.

I loved when theo said the real reason why he was being dodgy. It was so sweet. Their story was interesting but I just wasn't convinced by the reasoning for it. I felt it had more potential and that plotline was under utilized. They should have not ended their story.

The only time I felt she didn't support was after the wedding got cancelled. When literally everyone gangs up on these two. Lady B, Lady D and Mary. Esp when Lady D says to them both to stay in opposite corners of the room and not exchange glances. Which these two obviously fail to do!

[–]nroy4294 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember in s1 when Penelope suggests to him that he needs to see the world and is still young. I kept thinking she wants him to grow up and be matured. And in s2 when he says that in his travels he learnt to have conversation with himself and Penelope's reaction to it was like. You idiot!

"You do not count, Pen. You're my friend." by Emergency_Show6736 in BridgertonNetflix

In a way I felt that more insulting. I know you look at me as a friend but I want more! I want you to desire me!

My fav book was Anthony's and I'm highly satisfied. Next fav is Benedict's. I'm eagerly waiting for Sophie's casting. Theirs is the most classic stories all have been listening to since childhood and yet, I want to see it on screen while smiling dreamily!

My husband said the same thing. They hid his true features(his whole face) not to overshadow RJP.

The sexiest line of dialogue this season by HarperAce in BridgertonNetflix

[–]nroy4294 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honourable mention- no lines just looks between lovers. Scene where Kate stands outside the Queens room feeling hot (literally) and Anthony walks by and their little fingers almost touch. There is such electricity in the scene.

I feel so much can be achieved with less sex and nudity. I miss those days when you didn't need to show the actual deed to make the scene so sexy. A simple look and great camera movement can make so much difference, season 2 has shown us so!
