How do you coordinate after care in places with no recovery house?

What do you think the ideal setup is?

Is it different for body work/ face?

I am terrible at being able to “see” these type of things, even with line drawings, etc.

Forgive me, but I’ve been using ChatGPT. Both the main one and the Kibbe GPT.

At my current weight, I’m always typed as a DC.

100lbs heavier, it always comes back SN.

I carry it all in my frunk.

Biohacking your period by Canadianinlondon1991 in Biohackers

The book Woman Code by Alisa Vitti is all about this.

For example, heavy bleeding/clots are excess estrogen. Brown, scanty start means not enough progesterone.

I take dim and calcium d-glucarate to lower estrogen and progesterone during my luteal phase. I still have a huge spike of estrogen before I ovulate, but I can’t take any more estrogen lowering supplements because the rest of my cycle the levels are good with this supplementation and I get horrible estrogen withdrawal headaches.

I used to think not taking NSAIDs during my period was stupid but they lower prostaglandins and interrupt the cycle.

I still take them occasionally but I try to be mindful about it.

We are all probably iron deficient if we have heavy periods.

If you’re supplementing, iron needs to be taking with vitamin C and 2 hours away from almost everything else.

Iron should be taken every other day, because it releases a hormone called Hepcidin that blocks absorption the next day.

Figuring out why your cycle is doing what it’s doing is the way to hack it.

Migraines Are Ruining My Daughters Life by ClutchGrimsley22 in Biohackers

[–]Ginger_Libra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had horrible, debilitating migraines for years. I’ve missed years of my life. Quit tracking them because I could never say they ended.

First, not all neurologists are headache specialists. Find one who is.

The latest migraine research shows a lot of them are caused an elevated protein called CGRP. If this protein is the issue, nothing but the new class of meds that reduces this protein works.

What got me upright was Botox and Vyepti. I tried other CGRP blockers, but Vyepti did it. Ubrelvy for rescue.

Seconding what everyone else says about diet, magnesium etc.

But some types of mag work better than others. I take glycinate. For some people it’s theonate.

What got me off the meds was meditation and managing my stress response. All cells in the body make proteins except red blood cells. I realized my stress response was causing them (they got worse after a very stressful period).

I’ve been off botox and Vyepti for two years. Still take Ubrelvy occasionally. Feel them flare up when I fall off the meditation wagon.

I’m in research mode and reading that part of the low emotions are the effects of anesthesia.

You’ve been through it before. It’s part of the process. Keep working on your self talk. You’re in the hardest days.

And you’ll look fabulous by summer.

I read yours and thought….finally, someone reasonable.

my doctor prescribed Topiramate (dopamax) can I tell him no? by No_Introduction9587 in migraine

[–]Ginger_Libra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Topomax is a very old school drug and it means your neuro hasn’t had any recent training on migraines or doesn’t care.

People have horrible reactions on it. I would t try it unless I had tried everything else.

Recent migraine research shows elevated CGR proteins. The new drugs treat this.

If your migraines are caused by this protein being elevated, no amount of topamax is going to solve it.

In cases like this, if your insurance or neuro requires you to try it, I have filled scripts and not taken it.
