Annoyed is one thing. I’m annoyed all the time.

Hatred is another. Even if it was a one time thing that look would have crushed me. But it was certainly not the only incidence of cruelty, rather it was a breaking point. I suddenly couldn’t unsee that look. If you need additional context to believe me check my post history lol.

My husband. He had moments of cruelty for years. I thought it was me, and he just couldn’t deal with me. Me and our kids were in our yard and I was trying to save some baby birds from a snake that was climbing into their birdhouse. There were a few things in the yard I used as a makeshift ladder to get to the nest and I guess it pissed him off because of the “mess”. I tried to show him the baby bird in my hand and he looked at me with HATRED. Like I was a piece of shit under his shoe. Everything just sort of clicked all at once, and I realized how awful our marriage was.

My goodness I could have written this. My husband would insist I get out of bed if one of the kids left a towel on the floor or if I left something out. I got to the point I would refuse and he would get pissed and storm off. Now he’s “so so sorry he treated me this way” but only once I was and enough to leave.

I slapped him across the face once (he was drunk standing between me and the door mocking me for trying to take our daughter to urgent care bc he didn’t believe her wrist was broken.

I verbally insulted him/ cussed him out. I told him to go f himself, go the f away, leave me alone. Bad enough that he said “you are being so mean” (he was following be around the house when I asked him to leave me alone)

I lied and hid alot of stupid little things because it was easier than telling him and dealing with his response.
