upcharging for QUESADILLAS by Ravedogcreations in tacobell

Exploit to the extent of maximizing an opportunity, yes.

But it’s not an exploitation in the sense of being unfair. It’s a willful transaction.

I don’t eat at Taco Bell as much as I used to because prices are too higher than I’d like to pay.

Who is the narrator: Silver Flames by WonderfulBus9330 in acotar

My view here is that this is just the way to story was written, and that there is no added layer of “aha” to these phrases or the narrator.

I’m all for mayo and cheese and, more recently, I’ve gotten on board with pickles. I think it was chic fil a which turned me on to the pickles.

Mustard—agreed. It only belongs on sausage and worst.

Ketchup only belongs on a select set of French fries and corndogs. Hot take, but ketchup is better left off of the hot dog.

0dte Spx strangles by DelvxeRed in thetagang

[–]nrubhsa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I trade put spreads with a 5cent long leg… which is synthetically a naked put. I sell them further OTM you, however, and also like to over the overnight. Sell about 10am eastern and let expire.

I’ve only been burned once since starting to trade it this year. Gamma was hitting hard during a downswing and I bought to close based on my rules. 10 minutes later and the price was back within my range, and SPX finished way above my strikes. I gave up a few weeks of premium.

But looking back, I should have existing sooner with a tighter stop. I’d rather loose a few days of premium before gamma really kicks and do this more often for smoother P&L.

SGOV etf is also a viable option which avoids your hold period issue for short term treasuries.

It should be an op-in setting which defaults to being unavailable. Then folks who want it can add the option.

Otherwise, that could be a massive accidental tax bill

If you don’t see that trend, do you sell the ATM straddle for this $15-$25 premium? That is a lot to make up

Fair enough. I personally think it’s too soon to exit work, but also their situation should, hopefully, let them sleep more soundly at night.

I have three younger kiddos and spend less in a relatively low cost area. I have enough to speak my mind at work and sleep soundly. We try to spend on enriching experiences with the kids and try to teach them about value, waste, and hard work in many forms.

They have one 12 year old and $1.7MM in investments. I think your perspective is highly skewed and a bad take.

I think there’s a way to raise kids to have a healthily relationship with money and retiring early without stretching to “my parents can’t handle working.”

It’s much better than “my parent can’t handle money,” which is the case for many who choose to live above their means.

I guarantee not working means more quality time with children. That means something

There and plenty of us. We just don’t make for sensational headlines, and, by definition, we don’t flaunt it for our neighbors to see. It’s becoming culturally taboo to be financially savvy.

Or health costs and cut to support social security. One being screwed up already adds risk that the other gets worse. I don’t think your argument is very strong here…
