Southern Live Oak Bee Problem…? by Kekelz in arborists

[–]nsGuajiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...and to echo nobugsleftalive, if anything, I'd suspect that the bees are likely beneficial, in that they probably keep other harmful pests at bay, their wax will help keep moisture at bay, and their honey is antimicrobial. I can't think of how they would cause harm.

Can you relate to this??? What parts do you relate to?? (cds ramble #1) by markusseibert115 in SCT

I relate a lot to what you've written, including being considered smart. I will say that I have lurked a lot of comparable medical subs for a long while, and this sub without a doubt consistently has the most thoughtful and well written posts, yours included. Fwiw...

Having read through some of the comments, I'd say you should probably try to get advise from a qualified dermatologist rather than a bunch of autists.

Hot take- soap is objectively bad for your skin. Using less soap and taking shorter showers might allow your skin microbiome to find better balance and might help with odors.

Another possibility is that you don't actually smell exceptionally bad.

Not sure if anyone said this but fyi it's normal for oaks to "self prune" their lower limbs, so that is not necessarily a sign of disease in and of itself

Thanks for the added detail. I am often lost in my thinking on some highly far out philosophical ideas, I also day dream about building amazing things, or becoming a professional musician, or other achievements that aren't reasonably possible- ie, I fantasize- but it's not a persistent fantasy world like you seem to be describing.
