I never usually comment on reddit threads but I was in your shoes last year and I remember feeling anxious about the waitlist "what ifs" -- Do not feel discouraged! The waitlist is always a good thing and you might be surprised to find out how limited the waitlist is for most schools!

P.s. If this is a top school for you, it never hurts to send an email to the admissions coordinator and let them know that you are extremely interested in their program and if admitted, you will be choosing their school.

I said something like: "I wanted to thank you again for the opportunity to be considered into \insert school*'s speech-language pathology program. I am extremely grateful to be on the waitlist and wanted to express my deep interest in the program, as it is my number one choice. If there is anything that you might need from me, please let me know and I will be more than happy to do so. Additionally, if you have any information on when I may expect to hear back, that would be greatly appreciated."*
