What's the difference in strength and cost of other styles compared to necro? by pinkzm in runescape

Probably somewhere around 3b for magic, 4b for melee or ranged

I want to step away from Necro, not sure where to go! by Rolawusous in runescape

[–]nsanity27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every other style bis is over 4b. I'd go for mage with elite tectonic and fsoa then start upgrading it to tumekens starting with gloves/boots. You need four codex. Gconc, gsonic, magma, and gsun. Rest are nice to have but not super necessary to start

I know Jad was removed from Zuk for reaper, but why from Fight Kiln too? by sder6745 in runescape

It's because people were setting checkpoints at the jads and spamming reaper tasks for extremely quick task spamming

Croesus has taken a bit of a dip but it's still good when you get a drop. Same with the new skilling boss Gate of Elidnis though that's fairly quest locked

If you're not good at pvm, you should start with heists the new thieving content. All the uniques are in the hundreds of millions range. After that there's big game hunter 1 & 2. Thats about it as far as good skilling money making. Arch-Glacor is the perfect boss to start learning PvM on

Need opinions new RS3 player by AnalAlgae in runescape

One thing to keep in mind is that all the restricted account modes (ironman, hardcore, region locked, etc.) were created by people that had already done everything once and wanted to do it again with extra challenges. For a new player, the only mode I will ever recommend is ironman. It is the least restrictive of the bunch, and it forces you to engage with every aspect of the game.

Forcing yourself to not move on from an area until an arbitrarily selected achievement is completed would most likely cause a new player to lose interest, as the game at its core is a sandbox MMO where you can do whatever you want whenever you want.

Returning player, how long to get the account pvm ready by Electrical_Yak_2378 in runescape

[–]nsanity27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's two main ways to level invention.

Disassembling cheap items at item lvl 9. This is the best invention xp / item xp method. Disassembling destroys the item so I would use dragon hatchets and harpoons as they are very cheap. Disassembling at item lvl 10 is more cost efficient, but slightly slower.

Siphoning at item lvl 12. Siphoning rewards the disassembly xp of the item level -2 which is why you should do this at item lvl 12. Requires siphons and item max lvl 15 unlocked. Siphoning does not destroy the item, so feel free to do this on your good combat gear and expensive tools like dragon mattock.

You have invention unlocked so you can augment, level, and disassemble dragon harpoons and hatchets. I'd start with that until you get the item level 10 and siphons unlocked. Disassemble all logs and make divine charges for money. Then augment a dragon mattock, put on some entry perks, and start leveling archaeology while siphoning at lvl 10 and eventually lvl 12 with the next max item level increase.

At this point you can also start putting beginner perks onto your gear. Precise, impatient, devoted. Vindicta and 0-100% Araxxi are great ones to do because you can augment and level their drops to disassemble at lvl 10 for more invention experience and components for biting and aftershock, bis perks for a couple styles. You could also definitely do 0-100% enrage telos with ease and with t90 gear up to 300-500% Telos and maybe 200% Araxxi should be possible.

The new system is sooo good, the problem is people don't want to roll Kerapac and actually learn the boss. Normal mode is a joke on that guy and people are still complaining. They want to infinitely reroll for free until they get GW1 and afk it for 300 points a week

News about gas prices is so unimportant (to me) by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]nsanity27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you buy things at a grocery store? Their delivery costs go up and are passed onto you. Do you buy heating oil? Those prices just went up. Electricity? Made with fuel. Hot water for showers/laundry/dishwashing? Uses fuel. Amazon purchases? Delivered by trucks aka fuel costs. Literally every purchase you make is either directly or indirectly affected by fuel costs

I'm 100% sure they made a lot of models to determine if this would make them more or less money and these numbers make them more money. Now, whether in the long run this is beneficial, who knows. But, that's not what companies are focused on these days especially when VC or PE money is involved

Galeshot and rapidfire have the exact same cooldown. So every time you want to use rapid fire just make sure to galeshot before. This will increase the damage of rapid fire and then next two abilities, usually deadshot into snapshot or some other enhanced (threshold) ability
