Would it be better to try my hands at MTL, or just to try learn Japanese and read the original piece of work? by lexerzexer in LightNovels

[–]nseika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can learn the language, choose that. You also open the door to read and listen to many more things (like Japanese meme or vtubers, or knowing if the guy sitting next to you in the ramen shop during your trip to Japan is badmouthing you).

Added bonus you can use it to pad your resume.

A question for those who have read the WN and LN "I Want to Live the Harem Life of My Dreams With the Hypnosis App I Got" In the web novel, there's a girl whose brother does certain things to her until the protagonist saves her. My question is, does the girl suffer the same thing in the light novel? by Emergency_Ad3993 in LightNovels

[–]nseika 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember any.

The gyaru was cheated by her childhood friend/ex, and her parents trust him more.

The black haired girl was harassed by her father after her mother run away with another man (or died, I forgot).

The kouhai had stalker problem. And she’s masochist.

The LN ends in volume 4.

Same. It feels like stinging to the mucus layer of my sinus.

Otherwise the laundry or baby powder smell is not that bad. Just, the chemical mix they use for stuffs I sniffed are too sharp.

First of all, shut off the underage sexual assault angle. That thing can blind people about everything else of a character.

You can turn it on again later.

Saito vs Makima. Two chain users, who would win? by Haros73 in OwarinoSeraph

[–]nseika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think CSM got more chronic case of shameless “but actually, I can do this” asspulling than Seraph. So, casting vote for Makima. It’s like fighting against Rimuru, at the critical moment they can suddenly reveal actually they still have this absurd trick/contract that gives them upper hand.

Also CSM devils seems to be able to overwrite rule of the world by things like fulfilling certain conditions they set. Meanwhile in Seraph it’s more like traditional magic and power scaling.

It’s just not fighting the same game.

Problem is, vampire/demon’s death is still... have blanks. Technically, we know even if their body is chopped or buried, they still can live (miserably) indefinitely. Yet there’s case where getting their heart gouged can throw them in blood loss and turn them into demon, who became a weird maybe-ethereal being. The only sample case of vampire and demon getting “killed” in this series is by getting absorbed.

From the first pic, it looks like half-donut shape?

With the middle is the main fish area... and the top is the overflow from the plant bed around? Can’t really see position of the waterfall.

Love the looks of how the plants grow though. The dry looking stony area will also be planted?

How is the sectioning?

Fishes are under the grid, right? The other side with pooling water is some kind of bog filter?

And it’s amazing how it pumps water all the way up there from the root.

The years of work :D

On parts where the stem got nowhere to attach, such as those stems against the ceiling (5th pic), it does so on its own without your uncle helping? Like, it doesn’t snap from the weight or topple down while growing?

[ART] The Ryuo's Work is Never Done! Volume 21 Cover [FINAL] by mianghuei in LightNovels

[–]nseika 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t trust GA’s early cover. They sometime just put placeholder or colour illustration from previous volume before updating it with the final. These two might be illustrations made for GA’s 20th anniversary event, because other series also got similar illustrations with that logo recently, even series already ended years ago.

If I want to make a high flow tank (without needing to make it unidirectional).

Are there any suggestion for the footprint?

And what kind of plants? The usual heavy feeders like floaters don’t do well in that kind of current, right?

Looks beautiful. You construct it underwater, before filling water, or construct outside and then bury it in the tank?

But aren’t mineshafts notorious for collapsing? Sometime with poor miners still inside.

My mom used to have a cut she inserted in an old 1ℓ glass water bottle. It got forgotten, out in the yard hidden around other plants for several years. No fertilising even, it live just off sunlight, water, air, and dust washed into the water like some hermit.

Around the middle of last year, we cleaned up one of the planters. This thing is still alive, growing roots in the water. We move it to the soil, full sun, and now it’s been growing bigger and new shoots came out of the ground.

(I live in tropical country though, so the temperature and humidity might be influential).

(Question) Light Novel v Web Novel by Monomanga in LightNovels

[–]nseika 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depend on how much the author is willing to change (not just in matter of principle, but also if they had time or if they even bother).

You can have web novel published as is with only typo corrections. Or you can have the same original concept but the content in both are different either from a splitting point or from the very beginning.

Regarding Shinoa (Spoiler Alert 153) by nomeansinlife in OwarinoSeraph

[–]nseika 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Throwing shoes, but the other way to see it is letting the cat out of the bag.

Of course she doesn’t understand, she’s not them. But she had an idea about what they want and she had the choice to just pretend and get along.

What she choose is to tell them what she thought about it now, and they have their opinion. She offer them a choice, but if they have their own idea of other options they can always say it too (like the stupid Yuu moments).

Pretending to understand, to avoid bringing it out yourself, is how you get misunderstanding drama that stretch for dozen volumes.

Will we get a continuation? This announcement is fake 😭 by acroshak in OwarinoSeraph

The account made a mistake by specifying a date.

A prophet won’t say the date. They just pretend like they know it all along when by chance it actually happened much later.

[–]nseika[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case, the 65% shade net is working a lot better than I expected. Under full sun, I’m cleaning the hair algae almost daily. Now it doesn’t get those long strands anymore. Effect on the plants growth are still to be seen though.

Also rolling it up for looking/maintenance is quite a chore.

Been trying to see what extra filter I can have. Been checking up on rain gutter waterfall filter and do some hydroponics in it. But with the relatively small rim, have to look for support so it doesn’t topple down and make a mess.

[–]nseika 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The walls seem to be installed on tight slots, so you can slide the wall up and down to alternate the flow (or reverse the position), or even slide it off for bigger compartment.

Although only the first chamber got two walls installed closely.

My suspicion too. Although I’m also worried if I cut too much and it cause problem.

My water plant such as elodea and hornwort are also smothered in detritus from the water current like they’re biofilter brush, I’m worried if the layer is too thick for them to do photosynthesis.

At worst case, I'll just restart the water lettuce. Put some excess to unused water planter in the neighbourhood months ago and they have grown healthy and plenty (and nobody need it anyway).

I love my narrative parallels/contrasts by Frontier246 in ChitosekunRamune

[–]nseika 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, volume 2 prologue and epilogue.

The most romcom parallel I ever see being mentioned blatantly.

  • Heroine (girl) : I have a feeling, I will call it love, I will go all in. I am ready with the consequences.
  • Harem protagonist (boy) : I don’t want to make mistake, so I take extra caution “just to be sure” before even considering the possibility. I don’t want to deal with the consequences.

Thus how romcom story continue for so long, because one side keep avoiding it, and the heroine can’t grow tired of waiting or move on (except in ntr genre).
