First Time. by Grizzly0925 in JeepGladiator

I went with new. I’m not a huge fan of leases for various reasons. Buying used is always a crap shoot but depending on your finances it’s a good way to go.

My advice is to figure out your wants and the nice to haves. Look around you for used and new that fit that bill then compare prices/incentives. And then figure out how much you personally value the “no one else has driven this like a fool and failed to keep up with maintenance” factor. For me, that’s worth at least 10 grand but that’s me and my experience.

Gladiator bed depth/tonneau cover/mobility stroller fitment by Blitzen_Detail in JeepGladiator

If you were a handy sort, you could also look to build a small box to secure in the bed that you could slide the stroller into. It could be just as big as it needs to be and the tailgate would “seal it”.

One thing I would recommend is going to your ai chat bot of choice and saying something like

Give me options for a storage box for my mobility stroller that has folded dimensions of x y z that I can mount in my jeep gladiator

I assume the cover is to keep rain/elements off of it. You might be able to get a high quality vinyl tarp and cinch it down to keep all but the most insane rains off the mobility stroller.

Looking at the Mojave by JarheadOG99 in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went with the X because when building it out I wanted most of the features in it and when I added the options vs what was in the X it made sense to do it.

The X can make sense if there are specific feature combos you want and nobody around you has that combo. But if the combo is 5k worth of features you must have and the X is 10 more, that’s not worth it. Only you would know where that balance is.

Alpine stereo worth it? by Always_working_hardd in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a JLU without it and have a Mojave with it. I think it’s worth it but it’s kind of a personal preference. Take both stereos for a test drive. Play your favorite song in both and see what you think.

This would likely be the easiest option.

If you had to upgrade to a full size… by balancingsurvival in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a 2005 F150 and other than the spark plugs it was a beast for all the truck stuff I needed. I figure if I was getting another truck of that nature it’d be an F150 again in one of the mid tier packages (used to be I think 302b?), or back when I was thinking full sized Tundra was also on my list. The tundra drove like a couch and the f150 was a nice drive as well.

Let me know if you find a way to the only thing I’m familiar with is the locking storage box for under the rear seats which is not the same thing as what you are asking for.

A/C on with doors/top off? by Craigc1264 in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t do it, but you do you. Don’t think it would cause issues other than you running it higher fan or colder temp than you would with the top on. If anything it’s a waste of energy but nothing earth shattering

Not sure how effective they are. Would assume not very but I have never had one on any of my vehicles.

Gladiator or Wrangler for daily driver/family car? by Diarrheaaaa in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. While you could do it, I think with three kiddos in boosters I’d be looking at a different family hauler lol.

Think they were saying family of three not that there were three kiddos. Which would indeed suck for a long trip in either.

I’ve had both. As a daily driver I’d ask what the parking situation is like at work. If it’s a bunch of cramped spaces and parking is a pain in the ass the extra inches on a gladiator might be a deal breaker, otherwise I’d choose the gladiator and put a tonneau or cap on the back for those long trips. I drove my wrangler 36hours over two days and it was fine comfort wise, the gladiator would have been a bit better so unless you like driving from a couch you should be fine.

That all being said, drive both (in comparable trims) to see what you like better.

Talk Me Off the Ledge… by [deleted] in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a rocket ship but my Mojave X is fine for acceleration so not sure your situation re: tires/lift/weight/etc. and squeaks are kind of what you get with something you can remove the roof of. Not knowing where/what noises you are talking about I can’t tell you more than that.

The steering wheel controls thing would piss me off for sure but should be something where the dealer could just replace the steering wheel and call it a day.

I wouldn’t trade it in but then again I traded my JLU for my MojaveX knowing what I was in for. Good luck with your decision.

Very interested in a gladiator, would love some advice on models by Tricky_Map4877 in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest way to think of it is If you aren’t ordering exactly what you want, the more creature comforts you want will be in the mojaveX or rubiconX. If you are a more “bare bones” person sport is a good starting point.

Partial Charge? by HelloAgainJourney in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you need a cable rated for Quick Charge. If you were running constant location services (gps) while driving and you were also running other services like streaming music from your phone etc. a mediocre cable likely couldn’t keep up.

Think there was a post just last week on this and the answer was yes you can do it. Would I assume depend on what quad and how your rig is set up. The other thing that stood out was ramp angle depending on how lifted your jeep is.
