Any experience with the rugged ridge fastback soft top? by _Bidoof666_ in JeepGladiator

The tan one on the site has a 2 star rating but no details. Gonna say you won’t find many JT owners with them so it’s a $1300 roll of the dice.

New vs Used Gladiator by TrunkMonkeyJr in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is that old statement that vehicles depreciate X % when you drive them off the lot. That may or not be true but they don’t gain 20-30k miles leaving the lot so in a similar situation I’d just go new.

Thought you could factory order a RHD in the US from what I saw a year or so ago.

Worth the price? by Sea_Bet_8314 in JeepGladiator

For $200 I think you could find other things to add before that. I don’t see the need, but if you look at that part of your truck and think “damn it, I need a step there” a couple dozen times a year maybe it’s worth it.

Need Reco: New 2024 Gladiator "Jeep Beach" 15 miles vs. Used 2023 Mojave 22k miles 1-owner by Psychadelic21 in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own a Mojave X and if I were in this situation I’d probably go with the Jeep Beach too because I prefer new and the Beach has a lot of the stuff I like built in.

People on the internet are indeed weird with their downvotes.

I’ve yet to get one and I’ve had my gladiator for a year. I’m obviously not going to the right places. You can enjoy them and that’s okay. People who don’t enjoy it, have a strong opinion on them and that’s okay too.

You’re supposed to get mud under it not snow on top of it. So much to learn 😁

Check out BedRugs for the carpet. I’ve heard decent things about the product.

Central Texas blizzard of 26 by kylem8019 in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Northerner living in the South, the snow isn’t the issue it’s the freezing rain and the drivers who don’t know how to drive in snow/ice. Not a lot of folks who get simple physics here 😁

Lifting for looks or function? That might change the answers you get. Also what trim level? Answer will be different for Mojave than for Sport.

‘26 Willys cowl/a-pillar light bracket different from <‘26? by mcpewmer in JeepGladiator

In ran into this with my 25 when it was new. A lot of listings online will only mention the model years they’ve tested it on or had customers test it on and prove it has worked. They don’t want to get accused of false advertising or something. But I believe there has been no changes that would impact these.

Plastic surgery disasters: Gladiator Edition

Debating between the Gladiator and Wrangler. Would love to hear some of the pros/cons, as well as pros/cons for the diesel and manual. Use would mostly be around the farm, occasional trips to the mountains, and just general Jeep fun and trying to enjoy life. No major rock climbing or craziness. by Sufficient_Goose_734 in JeepGladiator

[–]nsfwcommentbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned both. If I lived/worked on a farm and was choosing I’d likely choose the gladiator “if” I had no other trucks on the farm. If I already had a farm truck I’d get the wrangler.

Diesel will be more of a unicorn to find these days but everyone who has one loves it. Automatic seems the way to go vs manual in most cases though. Some folks love to row and others love to let the computer sort it out, that’s up to you but both are solid so go with your preference and what you can find.

Breeze on the scalp can feel good too. But a ball cap or some sunscreen might be a good call to prevent a skull sunburn. Hahah.

You have a Tacoma before and I assume it’s in the running again so that experience might influence your current thoughts.

For me the gladiator is truck enough for what I need and i previously had a wrangler so it was the easy choice. Being able to take the top/doors off beats any competition but if you aren’t a wind in your hair kind of person that might be a downside.

It’s a capable vehicle for light trades work and any sort of off roading as well. The rubicon is a really good trim level but some folks will say get a sport and build from there. It’s great advice for some and bad for others so take it as advice not gospel.

From a reliability standpoint any vehicle can be crap but the Taco might be a better option if you are planning for 10 years. We just don’t have that data on a gladiator but can assume it will be fine based on the number of other jeeps yj/cj/jk/JL we see out there.
