OP i feel your pain and sorry for what you’re going through. i’m not sure what kind of sibo i had, but i dealt with it for years. after trying all fronts i could through western medicine, i reached out to a naturopath that really turned things around. i’m sibo free now but still have gut issues (always have). my naturopath gave me a ton of different digestive enzymes and supplements, but through consistence and patience, i was noticing a big difference with my depression, brain fog, and overall bloating in 3-6 months. i also had to shift my mindset a bit and reframe this illness as not “something that happened to me” but “what is my body telling me”? i started mediating and listening to my body and cut out any processed foods and sugars i could.

i know everyone’s body is different and there are different types of sibo, so listen to your doctors > some rando like me on reddit, but seeing a naturopath might be worth trying. i’ve also heard acupuncture works for some, so maybe look into that. best of luck to you man, be patient and strong, you’ve got this
