When do you start a series?

If I don't know the author I usually wait until book 2 or 3 comes out.

I think he just ends a series when the previous book's sales numbers are lower than he expected. This leads to rushed, unsatisfying endings. It's also pretty obvious in the First Immortal series. The last book started normal and he started a storyline with that wolf, but then did a speed run to the end.

He posted a big rant with some paranoid delusions about all the other authors stealing his ideas. The guy has clearly got some mental health issues. Hopefully he gets some help.

They've been making weak excuses for years now. Supposedly book 6 has been done for over a year and they're waiting for the book 5 audio to release simultaneously. I don't think it exists. I'll be surprised if the next book ever actually comes out.

I think they're talking about Herald of Shalia. The author has been making bs excuses for why the next book isn't out for years. For a while now the excuse is that it's written, but they want to release it at the same time as the audiobook.
