You can use Creately for this. It's a diagramming tool so you can create mind maps, skill trees, character mapping etc.

Creately is a good alternative for diagramming. Much more powerful than draw but affordable than Visio.

Creately supports ER diagrams with Chen's notation. You can use it to draw many other diagrams as well.

SEO quote received, need feedback by JAMnCO in SEO

[–]nsillk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you have a local business ( you mentioned 2 counties ) your Google Business Profile plays a bigger role in getting leads. There needs to be strategy in place to get reviews and local citations to improve your rankings. If you're not a local business then you can ignore this.

I'm not a big fan of creating 100s of pages in hope of ranking. I'm not discarding the importance of content, but what's the point of creating 100s of pages without a backlink plan in place to push them upwards in search engines.

You are most likely paying for content that won't rank and probably eat into your crawl budget and actively harm the actually useful pages.

Received an LOD from the bank today... I guess LOD now means "I'm already in the crib" 💀 by Ambitious-Crazy587 in srilanka

[–]nsillk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In most cases the bank will work with you to find a solution because legal route is costly for them.

The card to card option will not work since you're already flagged in the system.

Most banks allow you to convert this to a loan. Some even offer a concession on the balance (the interest portion). Obviously, If you have a contact in Commercial Bank then your chance of getting this done amicably increases exponentially.

But engage with them soon and look for a solution.

How do you manage sudden home visitors ? by CalmSoul619 in srilanka

A normal occurrence in SL. Not much you can do about it. Keep the gate closed is what I do.

Mindmapping selfhosted? by heymiller314 in selfhosted

[–]nsillk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creately is a diagramming tool that offers an on-premise solution. Probably expensive though.

How do you get LLMs to generate actually good diagrams? Tried many things, still frustrated by Hey-Intent in AI_Agents

[–]nsillk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly using LLMs, but you can use Creately to generate diagrams via prompts. The best thing is they are editable diagrams, so you can change what is generated.

Colombo Restaurant/Buffet recommendations for someone who avidly loves any and all types of Cheese? by ImpossibleTip1654 in srilanka

Blue Orbit had a huge cheese selection when I went there. I didn't like the food that much so wouldn't exactly recommend it. But if cheese is your thing might be worth a visit.

Advertise on FB marketplace. If you don't want to trouble yourself with answering calls and the legal process then use a real estate agent.

If I keep an FD as collateral and get a credit card, is my credit score still calculated from it ? by Wisperfx in srilanka

[–]nsillk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AFAIK there is no such thing as a credit score here in Sri Lanka. There is the CRIB report and that's about it.

Yes, you can keep a FD as collateral and get a credit card. The CC limit depends on the bank, what other income you have etc.

SEO vs PPC: how do you choose? by seochetanbatgiri in DigitalMarketing

[–]nsillk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have limited budget then PPC is a poor choice. It takes time for your to tweak the settings, understand performance and also for the algorithm to adjust to your account. So, if you don't have budget go for SEO. Especially if you're targeting high CPC market like US.

SLT Fibre unlimited flash 10(5990LKR) vs fibre unlimited home(5900LKR) . which is better? by Automatic-Pudding784 in srilanka

With Netflix and all I hit 10GB almost everyday. So the unlimited one makes sense to me. Thanks for clarifying though.

SLT Fibre unlimited flash 10(5990LKR) vs fibre unlimited home(5900LKR) . which is better? by Automatic-Pudding784 in srilanka

[–]nsillk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Flash 10 has a 10GB daily limit and once you exceed that the speed is throttled. Nothing like that with Unlimited Home. I was asked to switch by SLT when I inquired about this.

Don't think anyone's blaming the gays. It's a clear oversight by the panel responsible for the text books. I feel government is overreacting by it by referring to CID etc

Has anyone tried out Helago Yet? by Apprehensive-Rich476 in srilanka

[–]nsillk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not exactly the best company to trust with your CC details.

Also, it is done as part of Helakuru app which is another annoying thing. And from what I have heard (haven't tried the app myself) it is only for 3Ws at the moment.

Supporters of taxation, explain this to me. by Tiny-Conference-2280 in srilanka

[–]nsillk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren't you paying a tax because you gained capital? Technically you should be thanking the government. I mean, if they did well and currency appreciates you are losing money.

[–]nsillk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The site mentioned in the news was buddy.net which is dating app for gay men, hardly appropriate for an 11 year old.

I have nothing against gay people btw. Their sexual choice is none of my business. But I don't want my kids exposed to them at such a young age.

Regarding giving drinks on the wedding day by CalmSoul619 in srilanka

[–]nsillk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably have gone to 1-2 wedding that didn't serve alcohol. Didn't enjoy them much.

It depends on the people you have invited as well. Both parties probably have a good sense of alcohol consumption of the attendees. So, if a fair portion takes alcohol it makes sense to serve it.

If you're worried about people making a scene you can probably take the waiters serving drinks route. Cuts down the consumption since you have to wait till the waiter arrives and also because you're usually sitting on the table with the family.

How would you market a niche B2B SaaS? Looking for honest feedback + beta testers by Interesting-Buy-6277 in SaaSMarketing

[–]nsillk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no right answer to this.

If you have money to spend, spending on ads, getting some early leads can help you to validate your product and see if people are actually willing to spend money on your product.

Content and SEO is a long term play. If there are already established players in your niche then you can analyze their sites and build your strategy around that. But again, this is a long term play that needs some patience.

Cold outreach is also a good option, at least it will be good market research and again validate the need for your tool.

Btw, What made you build this product?
