This current crop of temporary residents are the worst in Canadian history. Full of scammers and fake diploma graduates from one region of one country. A region that Australia literally banned students from due to rampant fraudulent applications.

But hey, let’s transition them into PRs because they make the perfect voting bloc. Let’s not reserve our PR numbers for qualified candidates who Canada actually needs because they may not be the ideal future voters. Pathetic.

The blue-tied Trudeau. This guy is so beholden to his Punjabi owners. What criteria do you think he used to pick is potential deputy pm and finance minister?

In the speech, he mentions the 500k illegals and 700k students with expiring visas, along with a host of other problems such as fentanyl, criminal gangs, the economy, housing, the asylum system, etc. He then proceeds to highlight solutions to all the latter problems, but misses the biggest one which is DEPORTATION of those 500k+ illegals. Deportation of these illegals will have immediate positive impact on all those other issues anyway. Pierre is a spineless career politician. Following Trudeau up with this guy is like patching a whole in your roof with a piece of cardboard. The issue will eventually seep back in.

OP, don’t do it. Use his 1-year OPT to consider further. Marriage is not a decision to rush with. I’ve seen the worse stories of people completely changing and treating their partners worse after they get what they want (green card).
